    I had it done on a customers rifle and handgun a couple of years ago. I didn`t notice any difference as far as group size. Hope this helps.

    How difficult is it to remove a Duracoat finish?

    I just removed a Duracoat finish on a customers gun yesterday. Came off quite easily with 180 grit blasting media. Took me all of 2 minutes.

    beavertail for SA 1911

    Use a Wilson beavertail and you won`t have that problem. Thats all I use on Springfield guns. The Wilson beavertail requires a different cut then the Brown. Buying their fitting jig will help speed up the process.

    bluing salts

    A question for all the refinishers out there. Which bluing salts do you recommend those sold by Brownells or Dulite? I`m going to start doing bluing in my shop in the near future and I was wondering which salts are the best.

    All I can tell you is his web site disappeared about a year ago. I contacted some shooters in Australia and I was told he closed up shop. I had no way of verifying this but all online searches haven`t turned up any info.

    Sisco don`t lose sleep deciding which gun is better. You can`t go wrong with a Colt, Kimber or Springfield at those prices. Every brand has its pros and cons. I`ve seen Kimbers that worked great out of the box and I`ve had ones that I had to work on to get them to function.The same with Colts...
