Nys getting worse for gun owners

Good news! This gives people and the state a legal tool to remove weapons from those who cannot be trusted with them due to incompetence or insanity. Props to Governor Cuomo for this sensible decision.

Chance of this being the next 2nd Amendment SCOTUS case?

Well duh...they wouldn’t actually fix a problem that gets them hundreds of millions of votes and billions of dollars!

    Gunsite 250, budgeting the $2000+

Take the Cooper model, put it on a hip ranch with nice amenities and ranges, staff it with well trained, vetted, mostly-female instructors and work from neophyte gun owners and interested liberal young adults (preferably from the big cities) in modules, training from airguns and 22s up to...

Coast Guard lieutenant, dubbed 'domestic terrorist,' had hit list of media bigs and Dem lawmakers

And a synagogue in Pittsburg. And Vegas. And Oregon. And Oslo. And a host of other events you conveniently ignored. But sure, only liberals and Muslims take advantage of weak gun laws to access assault weapons and massacre people.

Chance of this being the next 2nd Amendment SCOTUS case?

And of course the state bears no responsibility or culpability for your safety.

Coast Guard lieutenant, dubbed 'domestic terrorist,' had hit list of media bigs and Dem lawmakers

Is someone detected and stopped before they pull a trigger still an attempted murderer? The only pro gun thing I’ll say here is that gun control would not have stopped this at all.

    Gunsite 250, budgeting the $2000+

That’s unfortunate. Maybe I’ll open a better course with little bullets and better training.

Agree or Disagree with 'Gun Sanctuaries'?

If the “sanctuary” is a mere refusal to use local resources for federal tastings, I’m ok with them. Federal law violations absent state crimes are federal responsibilities, barring serious criminal activity. But local laws do not preempt federal or state laws.

Coast Guard lieutenant, dubbed 'domestic terrorist,' had hit list of media bigs and Dem lawmakers

I like how the “unbiased” moderator is blatantly defending a guy who literally had a hit list and the weaponry to start doing something significantly evil. Walkalong, you should be ashamed of yourself and publicly apologize. Defending a white supremacist and would-be domestic terrorist is not...

This doesn’t help our cause - ...saying gun control advocates should be ‘stomped on and run over’

Have you seen NRATV or their ads? They’re not exactly friendly to anyone not already an NRA member.

Coast Guard lieutenant, dubbed 'domestic terrorist,' had hit list of media bigs and Dem lawmakers

Could you imagine the furor if a terrorist like this actually succeeded in killing someone?

    Gunsite 250, budgeting the $2000+

Serious question: can you do a Gunsite with a 22?

This doesn’t help our cause - ...saying gun control advocates should be ‘stomped on and run over’

There’s ignorant and there’s a major magazine publisher with planned imagery. Crestoncowboy, I have no doubt you’re a decent man and I’d likely enjoy a beer and range session with you, but the biggest challenge facing us as gun owners is that we lack an effective unified voice against the...

This doesn’t help our cause - ...saying gun control advocates should be ‘stomped on and run over’

The NRA long ago ceased to represent anyone that isn’t a Conservative Republican Christian. Not that those are bad things, just that the NRA actively portrays everyone else as enemies of American freedom and Jesus.

Agree or Disagree with 'Gun Sanctuaries'?

I speculate that opening the amendment process will not broaden gun rights beyond what the 2A already does...

Chance of this being the next 2nd Amendment SCOTUS case?

If there is to be a permit, it ought to be free and shall-issue. The biannual fee reeks of a poll tax and seems to threaten lawfully owned property. If it is considered real property and this subject to property taxes, it stands to reason the state would be unable to tell you you can’t own it...

Chance of this being the next 2nd Amendment SCOTUS case?

I think a pistol permit is overreaching and unconstitutional and I hope the suit is successful. I would also like to see carry permits normalized and far more accessible. However, I do think there is something to be said for limiting who can own a gun legally and the types of weapons private...

What kind of guns do the bad guys carry?

??? I don’t agree with the evidence rooms holding property that is lawfully returnable, but I don’t think this is anti-gun, it’s lazy cops and/or DAs.
