    So you do not need pure lead to fire in muzzle loaders as long as you can load the bullet? I got about 250# of lead out of a machine we were rebuilding at work. I have a Lee hardness tester and that lead tests around 12-14 brinnel. It seems to work well in my .45 auto's.
