It's tough to say honestly.
I've only shot it at 50 yards and it did well enough but I haven't settled on a load. 454 is one that shows a large point of impact variation between loads and the velocity range is large even for bullets of the same weight between 45 colt speed and full pressure . I...
Hey all,
I've finally got updates , impressions and thoughts on the r92.
I'll start by saying I'm impressed with the rossi.
I've made some changes that should be standard but maybe they aren't for everyone.
Pu a saddle ring /stud in place of the standard hammer screw. This one is from bear...
Thanks,
I'm confident this mess will eventually be overturned but who knows when. I'm not really worried as the local sheriff office already said they have no intention of enforcement but I'm not taking any chances . Hard to comply with what no one understands .
As I understand accessories...
Hey folks,
Got that deadline coming at us in a hurry here. I hate this law but I'm compelled to comply as law abiding citizen. I believe i have only 1 firearm that requires registration which I have unfortunately done . I was under the impression magazine's required registration too but there...
Some guys don't care but a few years back Springfield supported anti 2a legislation in Illinois then quickly went back on it after the backlash. I remember, I don't care what they've done since- they don't get a cent from me.
Working on loading 1000 45 colt with 250 grain rnfp over clays , I'm through about 150. When I'm done with those I've got 500-600 454 casull cases ready that will receive various loadings, most will be 255 grain swc over 2400 but I'll do 100 300 grain xtp mag over h110 and 50 or so 360 grain wfn...
Nope.
I've never heard of this issue, never experienced it and I've had a gp100 for many years and shot it a whole lot and cleaned it rarely . I've had a super Redhawk for years and used it a lot, no such issue. Ruger has good customer service, they'll help if there's an issue- I've had to use...
This guy is doing what he can to help and I appreciate that. I don't see the point in a single shot AR but it's a temporary solution for being able to keep your property. We're all hoping this law gets dropped down the memory hole quickly but as with everything in Illinois- it's a major struggle.
Glock 30. Use g21 mags if you want some capacity and short mags when you want to put it someplace discreet. Carry it. Whatever, that's a compact hammer that will just plain work with zero frills. If you want frills get that hk mk23, it's a good pistol but it's kind of pricey.
I've had my...
Catch them in a trap and then dispatch them in accordance with local laws.
They're easier to deal with than skunks but if you've got a trap out make sure you check it a couple times a day so the things not suffering too much.
I shoot them in the trap with a 22. Works for me.
I've loaded and shot an honest 8-10,000 rounds of 454 casull. This is a different critter but also familiar if you dabble in magnum pistol cartridges.
Best you'll get is h110/296, I know Lil gun does similar with less pressure but Bob Baker warns against it and that's enough for me
Mid loads...
Usually...yes. I have certain guns I can't walk past, just can't. If the price is something I can swing and it's something I've been looking for I'll put the $ down and figure out how to pay the remainder . Just did it with a rossi r92 a couple weeks ago, I had looked for that rifle for 5 years...
Haven't had a chance to shoot it yet but I'll admit that I was skeptical as I've had Taurus trouble in the past. This one feels significantly better than I was expecting , very smooth action and a good trigger. The catch on these in my opinion is fixing up the odds and ends- I've got a safety...
Got the rossi home!
It's nicer than I expected, action is remarkably smooth and trigger is excellent. Wood is better than I have seen on most, it's a little squared off but has a darker color and some figuring . Overall very happy, can't find anything to complain about at this point. Fit and...
