All NFA transfers haulted (But NICs “essential to public safety”)

200k civilian transferables in the registry. I’d assume 5x more for SBRs and Suppressors each or something similar.

The CA mag “surrender” was defeated in Fed court - have all states grandfathered mags?

Has any ban occurred that did not grandfather guns? Not including bump stocks (which I hate were banned but nonetheless...)

Please recommend: AWB Lifetime Quality - Combloc all steel AK47 mags?

In short, I’m fearing an AWB in my home state. I need to buy like 30 AK47 mags. Steel only - needs to last forever. Not going to do Soviet - too expensive and not necessary. Can you please recommend an excellent steel made magazine - easy long term parts acquisitions - with nothing left to be...

What states have banned assault weapons / mags with grandfathering?

Exactly. At the state and even federal level. I’ve got 4 NFA items locked down by the government shutdown. If they ban these on transfer as of the NICs moment, or purchase date, I could be paying a tax stamp then getting f’d up the ends despite already paying for everything.

What states have banned assault weapons / mags with grandfathering?

Just curious. Virginia is now in trouble due to its governor.

All NFA transfers haulted (But NICs “essential to public safety”)

“All men were created equal” hundreds of thousands. There are 200,000 transferable full autos by itself. Obviously many many more silencers and sbrs. Likely a million in the registry.

All NFA transfers haulted (But NICs “essential to public safety”)

Lol joyfully realizing that NFA items have zero financial liquidity and transferability - for “months maybe years.” Everything in transfer right now is about as valuable as the furthest away moon rock. Held from your possession indefinitely. But it’s ok - Meheeco is paying for it. In the...

Hunting buddy who doesn't shoot well. Need advice.

My advice would be this: 1) Shoot at the range standing, crouched, and sitting with no rest (priority in that order). No bench. Only bench to sight in. 2) 30-06 is kind of a lot for deer. What’s wrong with 270? Even that’s enough for blackies. 308 if he’s a stickler about size. Just know that...

For AR pattern rifle .308 better than 6.5 creedmoor?

It sounds like 308 is more reliable in autoloaders and can do black bear better. Any truth to this?

    What Gun For Bears?

Glock 20 10mm for a handgun. Or .308+ on a rifle. I had a giant revolver. Once you need a chest rig you end up thinking *** - this is 70% of a rifle but not one. G20 or big rifle/12 gauge

    Obama > Trump on 2nd Amendment (?)

Just saying - Obama did nothing. Trump is redefining laws however he wants and is confiscating our stuff. I probably would have wished for Hillary at this point...

Recommended insurance carrier for firearms collection

    1) Who do you recommend and 2) What % of collection value do you pay per year? I.e. $1 for every $1,000 of value, $10 per year, etc. I’m curious about insurance. Thanks!

What is the modern alternative to cosmoline? Sealed bagging?

I’m seeing rust prevention bags that people are sealing guns in air tight. Anybody got a great 30 years storage kind of method? That works.

11 gauge steel 600 pound liberty safe - is it enough?

Just been reading about safes - cutting, tortching, stealing/removing, etc. I bolted my safe down. Can anyone attest that they work? I keep hearing stuff like 10 gauge is where a fire axe or sledge hammer can’t break the steel. But then when you get into 7 gauge type safes you’re looking at...
