Looks like the new ones have the sleeved barrel. Not a bad thing in my opinion. I picked up an almost new 5.5 barrel, has the warning on the bottom of the barrel. Trigger was pretty bad. A week at LRK in Prescott was money well spent. They come apart fairly easy so lubing and maybe a little...
Reload the 45colt. Nothing to hot, mostly target/plinking rounds. 250-255 lead bullets. Use Trail Boss and Unique. Going to try Titegroup next.
Had a redhawk convertible but the rear sight was bottomed out for 45colt loads. Ended up putting a bowen extra tall front in it.
Have a new model...
I'm pretty sure the color case legacy's had them included.
I bought a 38-55, color case, with the tang sight when they came out. When the factory closed in New Haven, I foolishly sold it.
This is the same rifle as the 38-55.
Found a NIB Winchester 94 Legacy rifle, in 30-30.
Came with this tang site installed.
Can anyone brief me on it's general use before I start turning things? Guessing the rear leaf sight will need to go?
Have been looking for a winchester 94 Legacy rifle in 30-30 for awhile and found one.
Color case receiver. Also made in 38-55. Read that the "new" color case is more chemical than heat /forged style.
I do reload the 30-30.
Any issues with strength or cleaning?
I'm in AZ. Bought one on gunbroker yesterday, before the April 1 date, so no tax.
It may have a good effect for local shops. For me, I always calculate the price, the tax and the shipping before I grab something online. If I have to pay all that, may as well get it locally.
In my opinion, red dots are why more than just a craze or just for commandos. I'm able to pick up the gun and hit cards out to 20yds without my prescription glasses.
Well, I bought a Colt Combat Unit 1911 pistol unseen. .45acp. Took it out of the case and the whole thing rattles. Slide, mag well, grip safety. Sounds like a maraca.
Very disappointed. Spent 1300.! Thought the guy who put it together must have been drunk.
Then I took it to the range and...
I'm struggling with the same. Got a fair collection and enjoy shooting them. Might have one more move in me and moving them is a pain. Haven't heard any retirement living place that allows firearms.
Back east I was big into waterfowl hunting.
Couldn't wait until the Federal and State duck stamps came out.
Seems silly to look at them in AZ! Anybody know of a market/buyer for them?
Probably have 20-30 framed print/stamps and a ton of mint stamps.
Appreciate the numbers.
Probably haven't shot it since it went in the safe. But I'm still torn on selling it.
Storage is the problem. At some point one of these assisted old folks homes and firearms are forbidden. Relatives are spread out over the country.
Presents some issues.
Thank you. Did a quick look at gunbroker. Most around that 800 mark but who knows if they sell. My son is a avid shooter but has moved to Germany. Only returns once a year. I'm aging and don't want to saddle my wife with getting rid of all of it.
