Not a gun shop, though a gun show.
Was watching a vendor while he tried to show a customer how to install semi-auto drum mag into a 1927 A-1 Deluxe. Too painful to watch. Stepped-up to show how, and recommend to customer to buy a "3rd Hand" accessory.
Planning on a hunt this spring, and need suggestions on a rifle/caliber for boar hunting at a preserve.
Thinking either a Remintonton 700 in .308, or a lever action in .45-70.
Suggestions/opinions very welcome.
Thanks!

I'm pretty much a collector, and don't sell/trade. For a limited addition variation, I was willing to take a leap. Anyone else wish to chime in? Open to all criticism.
A few months ago I purchased a NIB AR model that the box identified as a "2013 Config" of LE6920 FBP1. Serial number begins "LEXXXXXXX". Colt sources indicate it's a production over run of a 2013 FBI contract. NIB rifle came with every item/accessory noted by Colt sources.

West Hurley 1927 A1 semi-auto deluxe w/1928 buttstock, 2-50 rnd drums I bought in 1993. All carried in Auto Ord crummy FBI hard case. Great range toy and piece of American firearm history.
You're very welcome. I did some Google searches using "improper disassembly of 1929 auto ordnance", and there were quite a few pages out there.
Best of luck!
Ok. Just checked manual and found disassembly should begin with safety on "fire". I may not be of much help here as you started with safety engaged. On your own, you will not likely do further harm,if any, unless you resort to sledge hammer.
I would try to close the frame and receiver at...
Ok. I had a Smith add a 1928 butt-stock adapter for me, and because he had difficulty at this point, he made a tool for me to avoid this.
For you, let's not get too fancy just yet, but take a slim screw driver and with the frame laying upside down on the floor or your work bench (with the...
