    GP100 Internal Rust

No offense taken from anyone, I simply found it strange that my simple question regarding rust prevention was responded to with so much enthusiasm against replacing the GP100 with a Smith. I'm simply trying to keep things on topic. My question wasn't should I keep the GP100, it was what steps...

    GP100 Internal Rust

Thanks for the actual helpful response. Their work looks good and I'm going to go that route with a new gun. Sadly, from now on I'm just gonna have to ignore the virulent Ruger die-hards who've shared their discomfort with the idea that a Ruger product isn't absolutely perfect. Unfortunately...

    Woods/city carry for Alaska worker

UPDATE: Wound up with a stainless 4" GP100, unfortunately it's back at Ruger due to rust issues and they're likely going to send it back to me as is unless I pay for a cleaning. Will be selling it soon and likely buying a 686.

    GP100 Internal Rust

Hi. I've had a stainless Ruger GP100 for the last 6 months that I've been using as my carry gun for when I'm working solo. Last month, I was working in Alabama near the Coosa River and after returning home found that the cylinder would barely turn and the trigger pull was extremely stiff, so...

    Woods/city carry for Alaska worker

Do you carry it? If so, what kind of holster? Also, any issues with corrosion of the stainless finish?

    Woods/city carry for Alaska worker

Hi all, Looking for a new carry gun for working in Alaska, all over the state. I fly an M600 for mapping and analysis projects for my firm. I currently have a budget 9mm that isn't recommending for the area I'm working. I need something that is relatively conceivable in an outside waist...

Hey all, new here. I'm currently living in Washington state and spend most of the work week in Alaska, doing UAV flights for a geospatial firm. Got a few questions regarding a woods carry that I'll ask in the handguns section. Thank you all, Dan
