What caliber is best in terms of distance and power? I guess .17hmr shoots farther but .22mag has more power? What about the .17 Mach2?

My 10/22 shoots best with Remington Golden Bullet bulk pack. Just try different ones and see what you get. I can keep all shots inside a dime at 50 yards. But I also have an aftermarket stock and barrel.

If accessories are made for one of my guns, I usually have it. My favorite gun to mod is the 10/22. So much you can do with it. When I buy a handgun I usually get it in stainless or nickel so aftermarket grips will always look nice.

It would be ok. 12 would be better, but if someone else is in the house besides you and the smaller gun would fit them too, go with the 20. Remember .410 gauge is like a .45 handgun so 20 will be fine.

I justgot a Taurus PT22. I really like it. It eats Federal bulk pack great. Didn't care for any of the more expensive stuff. Pattern was pretty good, I'd say all shots in the bottom of a coffee can at 20'. Overall, this is a fun little gun.
