    .32-40 Bd

I bought the rifle. Most online ammunition is out of stock, never mind being just expensive. So you provided me decent brass and costs. that is a start, the .32 caliber bullets can simply be .32 lead bullets for something like flat nose .32 win spe? The bullet weights between the two cartridges...

    .32-40 Bd

can you tell me ammo sources? Seems all places that sell have it on back order. I know reloading is the way to go. But I'll need a few boxes first.

1,200 CAD, that is 'bout 940 US. That includes his shipping fees. The current owner hasn't ever fired it. He states it is in very good condition

He has not been able to identity post 1910- Nickel Steel markings. All he says, is it is a production run 1894 gun. It is pretty much swing and a hit or, strike out. I want the gun to handle those 165 / 17-1800ft/s loads.

    .32-40 Bd

.32 Win, or Winchester special. .32-20 seems like a cartridge you would refer to as, .32-20. Like .32-40 Speaking about old obsolete black powder cartridges, now in modern smokeless loads and with new bullet selection - .32-20 performs the same way. Out of a levers barrel, your looking at...

    .32-40 Bd

How much would I be using the rifle at full power? Well, according to what I've read at length from Chuck Hawks take, what new ammo manufactured lists, the round can stack energy to levels like .25-35 Win, .38-55 Win, .30 Rem. Out of a full size 26'' I bet you can tweak self loads to 2000ft/s...

    .32-40 Bd

Hey everyone, there is a particular firearm I am eyeing. It is an 1894 Winchester, chambered in .32-40 Ballard. How do I figure the pressures this thing is capable of withstanding? Why I say it is important, I'd only buy it, if it could handle modern smokeless loads, as opposed to being limited...

10mm the equivalent of the 41 - sheer BUFFOONERY

I can't speak for all, but my work constantly (95%) of the time finds me in bear and moose country, in northern BC, Canada. When I am out there, I have to work. There are people that have shotguns (Defenders being common) but you can't work with something like that. Have you walked through...

    Bolt .22 Rem Jet?

What would be a good barrel twist to plan for such a conversion? Assuming 30-50gr bullets, I figure with the similarity to .218 Bee 1:14 or 1:16. Seem appropriate? Anyone have experience with Dakota varminter scopes?

    Bolt .22 Rem Jet?

Yes, both (win mag) rounds use a .357mag parent case, so a Ruger M77 would be the clearest choice. .221 Fireball is neat, I agree - but other than an experiment of mine, it makes sense and I am not trying to do it because I can..... but rather since I also have a S&W Mod 17 revolver in .22 Jet...

    Bolt .22 Rem Jet?

Hmmm, you are right, I guess .22 hornet and .218 Bee are good starting choices as well, and anything for .256 win mag. I know Sako makes bolt action examples for those two.

    Bolt .22 Rem Jet?

Hello everyone. I am new to the forums. Glad to meet you all. I am in search of the most appropriate bolt action platform, to be re-chambered into Remington Jet. Looking specifically for bolt action, I know many would say there are lots of lever actions appropriate, but I want it bolt please...
