    Crosman 1400

There’s a few videos on YouTube on a rebuild. I didn’t look at them but it might be an easy fix

    Another bite at the apple?

I sold a Ruger Security Six 20 some years ago for a 150 bucks and bought it back a few years ago for 300 and was glad to have her back! Thinking about buying another LCP ll after giving my youngest son the first one I had.

A 22 rifle that just plain fits

These are the 22 rifles I currently own. From the top: Ruger 77/22R, Cooper model 36, Marlin 2000 L and a Henry Golden Boy. All winter we have been able to shoot indoors at my club. Twice a week fun shooting your choice of 22. I almost always bring one of my rifles even if I’m also shooting a...

What new rifles are most exciting to you this year? Or over the past year?

Not new but when the Ruger 77-22 came out I bought one to complement my 77 in 270. I shot it some but it mostly languished in the safe for many years. Recently I joined a club that has an indoor range. We shoot at 50’ and whatever 22s we want as it’s only for fun. I have been practicing my off...

I have no idea where people even shoot anymore.

I have been able to shoot on most all the places I’ve lived until about a year ago. Fortunately I found a great gun club about 5 minutes from me. Also like shooting my air guns in my basement. Good luck with your search for a suitable piece of ground where you can shoot to your heart’s content.

    What did you shoot today?

My FWB 300S and my HW 30 in my basement. Rainy, windy, gusts to 48 and 40 degrees

    What did you shoot today?

Indoor small bore fun shoot at the club twice a week. 617 4” with a Leupold Delta Point Pro on top and my Cooper model 36. I actually shot my revolver off the bags better than I shot the Cooper off hand but then again, I suck at off hand shooting 😁

Today I enjoyed the outdoors. I chose to carry......

Hiking with my wife today in Northern Michigan. Stuck my 642 in my back pocket.

    Beginnings with 22 LR

My most accurate 22 rifle is a Cooper 36. After a lot of rounds the chamber gets gunked up with bullet lube etc and having a match chamber extraction becomes an issue. So I brush the chamber and that takes care of that. Otherwise it gets wiped down and put away. Still shoots one ragged hole as...

    Home made air rifle Mk2

Try some H&N Finale Match Heavy. My FWB 300S will shoot through the same hole time after time with them at 15 yards. Off the bags of course!😁 they were around 13 bucks a tin of 500 last time I bought them so not too bad

    Muzzle Brake

I don’t even have a clue how 3D printing works! I have heard of it though 😁

    Muzzle Brake

I’m thinking about scoping my HW 30 and removing the iron sights. Cosmetically I thought about a brake to cover the grooves. Are there any negatives about using them on a tame rifle like the HW30? If not, any suggestions for a sleek looking brake?

Spring break, time for JROTC target repair

What kind of rifles do the kids use? Pretty cool that they still have programs for shooting at high school level in this day and age. Nice job on the targets and a tip of the cap sir for helping them out. You inspired me to dust off my FWB 300S and shoot a few rounds in my basement on this cold...

    Who scopes their .22s?

Today I decided to try some glass on my Marlin 2000L. Took the aperture sights off and put a Leupold VX-Freedom™ 3-9x33 EFR on it. Haven’t been to the range yet though.

    Clip draw for J frame?

I didn’t catch the sweat pants either. No way In hell would I trust the clip grip with just sweat pants. Jeans and no belt…maybe?

    Clip draw for J frame?

I put a Desantis on my 642. It seems to be pretty secure but I haven’t carried it enough to totally trust it yet. It is definitely more secure than the Sticky I tried and had one get loose. Luckily no harm no foul. I will say the Sticky in a pocket has worked well for me but the 642 is a bit...

    Strange explanation at the range.

I shoot 22s indoors at our club with 8-10 shooters usually showing up. We sweep the floor after each shoot that usually is less than 2 hours. I was amazed at the amount of unburned powder and soot. Never heard about a fire hazard before a recent post here on The High Road. I can see why it would...

    Optics on handguns

I don’t think I’d ever want one on a defensive weapon as I’m “good enough “ with iron sights at self defense range but I’d of never pulled off this shot without optics at my skill level. 50 yards with a 4” 629. Probably a good bit of luck as well.

    Browning BAR

My Dad was a Marine. He carried the BAR in Korea. He thought quite highly of it!
