    Necksizing 7.65x53

Thank you for all the advice here! I've just tested some fired 7.65x53 cases in my 303 neck sizing die, and it appears to work fine. Seems that the 303 die is generous enough for it to fit.

    Reloading 7.5x54 for the MAS-36

So I'm afraid to report the results as being less than conclusive. I found the muzzle velocities to not correspond to the powder charge logically at all. I did find that a 42gr charge of VV N140 behind the 139gr bullet was shooting reasonably close to the centre of the target at 100 yards...

    Reloading 7.5x54 for the MAS-36

Ah thanks, I don't have access to the Hornady data. That's lower than I expected, and for a lighter bullet. I'll certainly start at a lower charge then, and check for blown out primers etc.

    Reloading 7.5x54 for the MAS-36

Does anyone here have experience handloading 7.5x54 for a MAS-36? I am trying to replicate the service load, but unfortunately Vihtavuori doesn’t have any load data for this cartridge. I’m using 139gr 308 bullets with Vihtavuori N140 powder. Based on Vihtavuori’s 308 load data for a 140gr bullet...

    7.65x53 Brass Forming

I'll give rotating a go. I'm afraid I don't know what 'cam over' means. The cases won't go any further into the die. It bottoms out. I'm thinking I will try to remove some material from either the shell holder or the die itself so that the case can go further into the die. Okay I'll avoid...

    7.65x53 Brass Forming

Hello chaps I have a reloading query here. I want to make 7.65x53 mauser (for the Argentine and Belgian Mausers) cases from a more available calibre. I tried using a Lee 7.65x53 full length sizing die on 30-06 cases and then trimming, but the resulting cases wouldn't chamber. I contacted Lee...

    Necksizing 7.65x53

Hello all. Can I use a 303 neck sizing die to neck size fired 7.65x53 brass, since the calibres have roughly the same bullet diameter? Any help would be appreciated.
