    1911 style pistol for CCW?

As the great Ted Nugent once said, “Cocked, locked and ready to rock, Doc!” I carry a custom (my build) Officer’s length 1911 for EDC. Usually. I also have a S&W Chief’s Special in .45 that I sometimes carry as well (colder weather or ringing the M/C, in a shoulder holster). And there’s always...

    Just showing off…

No, I have a new business that is taking the shirt off my back. It’s a brand new product so it’s taking a lot of money to get it going. I don’t know if this is against policy, but the web address is kap-bak.com. Moderators, if posting my business address isn’t kosher, I’ll be happy to take it...

Looks like I’m going to have to change my profile pic. The Baby Luger will be selling tonight on Gunbroker.

    Looking for Stoeger serial numbers

Howdy y’all. I’m selling my .22 Stoeger Luger of the 1970’s era. The question is about the manufacture date of this gun and whether or not it’s C&R eligible. Does anyone know where I can look for this info? I contacted Stoeger, which was bought by Benelli in 2000 and they tell me that they don’t...

Is it just me? - Primers

I only use small pistol and large pistol, personally. Easy to tell them apart. Now, I do have plans to start reloading rifle calibers in the future, so that might complicate things.

Is it just me? - Primers

I’m old enough to recall the old days, like four years ago, when, if I dropped a primer and it hit the floor, I’d just sweep it up at the end of the day and toss it in the garbage. I just moved a bunch of stuff to find a primer (yes, just one) that rolled underneath and out of sight. Good news...

Multi use powder suggestion for pistol

Since I haven’t seen but just a couple of votes for TiteGroup and True Blue, I’d stack my shelf with those when my go-to powder isn’t available. I’ve been able to find both pretty easily over the past few months. My most favorite caliber to load it the .44 mag, but finding Blue Dot is an...

Where are Reloading Components Available. (Not a Discussion Thread, Link Required)

I got an email this afternoon from Midway saying they have small magnum pistol primers back in stock. I only ordered 1K because they’re $90 a box. With shipping and tax it was $133. https://www.midwayusa.com/product/1301810394?pid=949261

Okay, so this time I got cocky…

Yeah, sorry about not mentioning the OAL. it’s 1.230. I could squeeze them down a bit more but they’re already kind of shorter than I’m used to. I wonder if I can get some moon clips to use them in the Circuit Judge. :p

Okay, so this time I got cocky…

I’ve reloaded many, many rounds over the years. I know that I should load five or ten rounds of a new brew first to test before I commit to packing dozens… nay, hundreds… of rounds. I’ve tried out about ten or so new loads over the past few months each one has shot perfectly. The load data that...

Looking for range case options about 30 inches...

I have one of these that I’m a big fan of for my shorter guns. I use it for all of the bullpups and AR/AK pistols that I have. It’s a big larger than you might need but it’s worth a look.

    Benches, Chair, Stool - Reloading

I like Creality. They seem like a good company and I’ve heard great things about their printers. My CraftBot Plus is like four years old but still does an okay job. I’ve printed ammo boxes before that came out very nicely. And a ton of other stuff too, of course. But I’m thinking about getting...

    Benches, Chair, Stool - Reloading

What kind of printer do you have? I have a CraftBot+ which doesn’t have the build volume or, I think, the dimensional accuracy to pull that print off. It looks great! Also, where did you find the files? Or did you make your own?

What do you use to measure powder/charge casings?

I like that idea a lot. It solves most of the problems and cheaply as well. And I was just about to place an order for the Lee Auto Disk with MidwayUSA (without much confidence)… I’ll just buy an extra set of disks for the one I have. You, my friend, might just be a genius. Thanks!

    Benches, Chair, Stool - Reloading

I’m sorry, I almost forgot to answer the OP’s question… I don’t like that bench, personally. I’ve found that there are times when I need to apply more force/leverage/power to an action and a wimpy bench just won’t hold up. Of course, I use my bench for more that just reloading and assume most...

What do you use to measure powder/charge casings?

For many years, to charge my casings, I used the scooper that came with the dies. I was only loading .44 sp/mag at the time and the scooper worked nicely with the Blue Dot powder I was using. Then I added .45ACP to my line-up and found the scooper to be lacking, so I started measuring each load...

    Benches, Chair, Stool - Reloading

I built my own bench with 2x4s. It’s solid as a rock and exactly my working height while standing. I have a 100 year old drafting chair that I got from my father that adjusts in height if I want to work seated. It’s not only my reloading bench, it’s my all-around work bench.

    Just showing off…

Me too. The Navy is in superior shape but the two Artys… not so much. The one is my shooter which has been reblued and the other one is in original shape but is only about 70% finish (but it’s matching). There’s also a 1970’s era Mauser, a .22 Stoeger and a scrubbed Russian capture in the...
