    637 vs LCR

I polish the internals of my J-frames to smooth up the actions. I typically set my SA trigger pull to about 1.5-2 pounds. I do not do anything to the sear.

    637 vs LCR

I have three Airweight 637-2 revolvers. I lighten them up by another 2 ounces with titanium .357 Mag cylinders and center pins that I have reamed for 9mm and moonclips. I use 147gr xtp hollowponts. I also have three unmodified .357 mag cylinders for them but shoot only .38 Sp in those. .357...

I have no idea where people even shoot anymore.

I go out to a friend's farm. 17 minute drive.

Well, my favorite magazine was National Geographic before they changed the format.

How do you get a .45 Colt round to fit into a 1911 magazine?

    Lost my best shotgun.

"but I'm sure it'll be bittersweet". It isn't. It is a delight with no downside.

I used your recommendation of grinding down a stainless panhead screw to make an arbor spacer for my Uberti. From memory, the spacer made from the screw head was about 0.072". I also shoot mostly plated or jacketed, but haven't tried +P yet (can't find any in Memphis).

If I understand you correctly, Uberti with Kirst .45acp cylinder will handle +P OK. As an aside. My Uberti 1860 with standard pressure .45acp is noticably perkier than my Remington 1911 Commander.

    What muzzle velocity should I expect with 230gr .45acp out of a Uberti 8" 1860 Army? +P ?

Mike, will the slightly longer Kirst Pietta .45LC cylinder fit and time OK in a Uberti if you shave the forcing cone to provide clearance?

Pietta is OK, though I prefer Uberti. You might also consider a Uberti or Pietta 1860 Army with a Kirst Converter to either .45LC or .45acp. Here's a photo of my Uberti converted to .45 acp, but .45 LC looks the same.

    Light 9mm REVOLVER ONLY reloads?

Alfsauve beat me to it. SAMMI specs for land and groove dia in 9mm, .38sp, and .357 mag are identical. There is no fall off in accuracy when shooting 9mm. I've converted three 637-2 Airweight J-frames to 9mm by lightening them up with a titanium .357Mag cylinder reamed for 9x19 and moonclips...

If you could have only one pistol?

I don't know. Either my S&W Airweight 637-2 converted to 9mm, or my Uberti 1860 Army converted to .45 acp.

    Movies, finger off the trigger!

"Perhaps movies should NOT show dangerous trigger control". Movies should not show anything dangerous, sexy, or exciting - though if that were the case, they might find it difficult to attact an audience.

    Dream revolver

In the photo you attached to post #131, It is visible on the top gun. You can see it in this crop of that image, where the back side of the hammer spur starts to curve upward.

    Dream revolver

Kevin, I'm addicted to the open toe, hammer thong, exposed trigger Tom Threepersons holsters that El Paso Saddlery makes, so that is what I have for mine. I left the loading lever on mine for quick conversions between C&B and .45 acp. I use an Allen wrench as an ejector. I also am rebuilding...

This one in .45acp. Oh, wait!! I've already got it :)

    Next 45acp? Which one? 🤔

Fired 15 rounds of .45acp in the Uberti 1860. It's more accurate than I am, and no problem hitting a coffee can at 75 feet. After 15 rounds, the loading gate retaining screw backed out enough to lock up the action. A dab of green locktight will fix that. So far, so good.
