Model 10s with the tapered barrel is a thing of perfection

Botflys ruin my early season squirrel hunting in Alabama. Seems to me that the closer you are to livestock/cows the more botflies that are in the squirrels.the farther away I can get the better in the early season around me. Looks like you had a good time.

I feel you may change your mind once you get into it and see how it works. Super simple. It will be pretty obvious where it would need to work. The springs helped a lot but rugers are notoriously rough on the inside from the factory. Enjoy your new gun!

I did my gp100 with the wolff spring kit from midway and polished all the internals with flitz. It now has a better pull that my grandfathers model 19 he used in competition.

This is also how I came into my .243 I doubt I would have ever purchased one otherwise but I’m glad I have it. Turned out to be a really accurate and fun round. I shot 2 deer last season with nosler 95gn BTs at 40 and 200yds. Worked well.
