3K more SPP, and 2K-3K more SRMP would be nice. Bullets would be good to find, but not anywhere near as bad as primers.
Feeling the pain of being a new reloader, just glad I started at the beginning of the virus
I had an order of .45 SWC coated from Bayou - fast shipping and great quality.
Ordered some .223 55gr SP from Everglade - again, fast shipping and happy with the quality
.223 55gr FMJBT from RMR - took longer to get, but very happy
That's a nice looking one. I haven't done any cleaning up of the hardware or wood pieces, that was part of the charm for me.
All in all, I think she made a good find for about $75
30-30.
I haven't had much luck finding a gunsmith, especially with the restrictions. I'm not even sure why I want to shoot it, I have other guns - I guess it's just the history and curiosity.
I have an old and well used model 1894 - serial dates it to 1913. My wife found it in an antique mall a number of years ago and bought it for me.
I'd love to try shooting it, but don't know that it's in that kind of condition. Any feedback on what to look for? I've added a couple of photos to...
Thanks for the offer, but we’re opposite sides - I’m in CA.
I’ve had good luck with Everglades for bullets - they shipped within a week on my last order.
I found a shop locally that has 1 case of Federal small rifle match primers. He'll only sell the whole case and wants $500 cash. I don't really "need" a full case, but it's looking like things might not improve for a while, and compared to gun broker, it's pretty cheap. What are your thoughts?
My wife found this Winchester 1894 in a San Diego mall a while back and bought it for me. I think she said $60. It has plenty of "character". Serial number dates it to 1913
There isn't any prohibition against buying components online or shipping them to CA, so I can't imagine there would be on bringing them into the state. One of the few freedoms we still have here
