I've never fired a SR40 but I do have a SR9c which has a nice trigger and absorbs recoil very well. My son has a Glock-26 that hurt my palm. After firing my Ruger SR9c and his Glock-26,about five years ago, he put his 26 in the safe and doesn't use it any more.

I never owned one but always thought the top-break H&R 999 would be the ideal choice for easy loading and unloading in a .22 revolver. A single action is slow to load/unload but is much faster than a black powder cap and ball revolver.

I use old circular saw blades for steel targets. Make sure you bolt them to angle iron or a post so that the center hole is covered. Otherwise, theres always that guy who claims his shots went through the center hole.

Those are 6mm BB caps (primer driven, no powder) made by RWS. I shot a few through a Ruger Super Single-Six. They are not quiet and went through a piece of 3/8" plywood.
