Anyone got SWC wroking threw there XD45

I've never had a FTE with and factory loads or any reloads that were not SWC. So I don't think it's the gun.

    Can I be cured?

I'm in the same boat as you. Plus I've gotten into reloading. So that's even hundreds of more dollars I've been spending. 8 months ago I had no guns and now I have 4 with a pretty good reloading setup for .45, 9mm, and .223. All I can say is stay safe, have fun, and shoot strait.

    Can load data be wrong?

Thanks for all of the input. I decided to trust the scale and not the book. I'm assuming the book is up to date because I got it this year from Lee.

    Can load data be wrong?

Thanks for the input. Yes I have a ballance scale. I never thought about a check weight but that's a good idea. I'm going to trust the scale then.

    Can load data be wrong?

I just got some Accurate #2 and I'm using a Lee auto disk. The Lee manual said to use hole .43 to get 5.3g. I had to go all the way up to .57 to get 5.5g. Is this normal? Or is something wrong? I zeroed the scale several times so I know thats right. I've only used Accurate #7 powder before...

Small Base Die Set Up Question

I can't find instruction on set up for my small base dies. The instructions that came with the dies are only for full length and neck sizing. I'm such a noob at this (I can reload pistol just fine) I don't know which one is which, or if they are the same. So if you use small base dies please...

    Indoor range safe 223 bullets

Is there a way to tell which bullets are indoor range safe? I need something in a soft tip. Also recomendations on size of bullets whould be great too. I will be doing most of my shooting at the indoor range, but I hope to be able to shoot on some farm land around here some day. I've been...

    Barrel cleaning question.

I just bought my first 1911 and I've scrubbed on the barrel pretty good but I can't seam to get some of the junk out of it. What my real question is can I soak it in barrel cleaner over night to help break it up? Or will that damage it?

    Problem with Lee auto disk

When I use the auto disk to measure my bullseye powder it gives me an inaccurate measure every time compared to what it should be. It's supposed to be 6.4 grains and it's giving me 5.8 grains. I thought maybe I put it together wrong or something so I emptied all of the powder out and put...

Source for a powder check die?

I don't mean to hijack but it's on this topic. Is one of the two better then the other? The lock out die and powder checker. What's the difference. I read what they said about them on RCBS's website and couldn't really tell a differance. Also will these dies fit a Lee press?

Should crimping the bullet push it in

Thanks for the help. I forgot all about Lee having those videos.

Should crimping the bullet push it in

When you crimp does it push the bullet in farther? When I do it pushes it in a few mm. Do I have it set up wrong or is this a normal thing? I'm using a Lee delux turret press with Lee dies.

    Another Newb Question...

Tom you are into this way more then I am. But I'm glad that you are. Because you are kind enough to post your findings here for all to read. Always glad to know there is another reloading in the city. :)

    Another newbie question: Bench height?

Ya I think it was the third day of reloading that I said I needed a bigger bench. :)

    Hand loads verses factory loads

I'm pretty sure I even read in my Lee reloading manual that they recommend to use factory ammo as your carry ammo. The consensus among my circle of friends is that if you shoot someone with a reload you look more like a premeditated killer. As you made those bullets just for ripping people...
