I've just put a level on the top turret in the past, and didn't even consider that there was a better method. The plumb bob method explained here seems brilliantly simple. Today I learned something that I didn't even know I needed to know, thanks THR.
I personally use different sets of dies set up for each of those cartridges, same goes for .40 s&w and 10mm. It's not that readjustment is all that difficult, but in my opinion having dedicated sets is a worthwhile expenditure.
I just received my holster from upper hand and really like it. Thanks for the tip @Choctaw ! I ordered their "TEOTWAWKI" model in dark grey carbon weave with forward cant and optic cut. I like the curved design, it fits very snug to the body. I will be installing the closed belt loops that were...
Precisionbrass.net has 10mm brass sorted by primer size. The website shows large primer brass in stock with small primer available on request. I've ordered from them twice now and have been happy both times. Recently received 400 10mm cases and while I have not yet processed it I grabbed several...
Hi all, a new M&P 10mm followed me home last weekend and I'm now on the hunt for a quality holster. Concealment of a full size pistol is not my primary concern, I have others for that purpose. This will be a woods carry gun and I'm primarily looking for an OWB holster, though I'm open to trying...
I think packaging the whole apparatus would be the biggest downfall for most users. A stand alone unit like the punch pictured above would be best, but I suppose the pedal assembly could hang off the front of the bench.
Hopefully it's a long time off, but if and when I can't operate a press in...
I'd noticed that you hadn't been around and posting as much, hope the new job is going well!
I go through similar cycles where I have no time to shoot, yet reloading consumes my time and thoughts when I'm home. Then I "find time" to go shooting and I spend whole days just blissfully tearing up...
Option#1 (preferred) - Purchase a new firearm to utilize this gift.
Option #2 - Hit the buy/sell/trade forum and make a local deal with another member that will make you both smile. If you were around my parts we'da already had a conversation.

@jmorris made a really snazzy rifle mount in a Jeep TJ. Post#3 in the thread linked above, maybe that will give you some ideas.
I have not personally experienced the issue that you are having, but, based on your description I think that you are on the right track here. Boring a relief in the center of the seating plug should allow it to push on the ogive instead of the tip. Just get the plug clamped securely in some soft...
I suppose if you use a universal decapper, tumble, and then size with the decapping pin still in the sizer it would probably clear out the flash holes.
This is how I prep every single case. It may seem a bit excessive to some, but I truly enjoy my time at the bench and I don't get to load a high enough volume for it to grow tiresome.
Deprime > ultrasonic clean > size > trim > chamfer/deburr > brush neck > [ream primer crimp here when...
The forum linked above is where I found data when I got my .458. There is a member there that goes by 'Colorado0321' that generated a bunch of data and put it in spreadsheet form. The link to it is in their sig line.
My press is on a sturdy workbench in the garage that was built by my Grandpa many years ago. If you look closely at the joints between the 2x6 top boards you can still find spots of spilled Testors model car paint from my childhood. I will never ever resurface this bench. I bought 4 large ammo...
A quick thought about your previous issues: Is your press mounted plumb? Maybe set a level on it front to back and left to right to make sure. Early on in my reloading endeavors (the first time I ever used my press, actually) I bent the pin on my Lee universal decapper by sending a .223 case...
Others have pointed out the small difference in depth, which should get you out of a pinch here. A suggestion for the future: stick a bit of blue painter's tape on the priming tool and write what you are putting in when you fill it. It may be easier to remember to make a quick note when you are...
