I must say I do need a 3-9x on my 30-30 336C. Even corrected, my eyes aren't good. I'm thinking for me, 3" @ 200 yards at 6x is as good as I'm going to get. Now the .270 on the other hand has the good stuff.:)
I'm not a "pro". I do advocate though protecting one's family with the handiest and meanest option available. A Tac13 fills that bill hands down. A guy could spend an afternoon showing the bad guys who's boss with this type weaponry.
Great looking gun! To be clear - the grips I just installed are mammoth - not stag. Beyond that, I only shoot this one handed. Dead nuts on too. First round out of the pipe - 15 yards - and I'm blind. These SAA's point naturally and
shoot straight.
David advised to keep them out of a hot car, wipe them down with mineral oil every few months, and shoot the hell out of them. I don't keep collectors items and these are just too sweet not to shoot and pass around to my buddies so they can do the same. If you're in Houston - drop me a line...
