I've loaded 9mm with 3.8 grn of Winchester 231 and 124gr round nose plated projectiles and they functioned just fine out of a stock Glock 19. However, I don't normally load them this low.
I have only had good things to say about their customer service so far when I needed to get something replaced. I don't have any experience with any other manufacturers except RCBS, but hopefully they are just as good.
Recently I have tried first tumbling with dish soap and lemi shine for an hour or so to clean the cases well. Then I dump the dirty water and fill with clean water and wash and wax, then tumble for 15 mins or so. Cases are really clean and hopefully will have less tarnish with the last step of...
In my area it is still hard to find anything like factory ammo, especially the popular calibers. Reloading supplies are hard to find as well. I'm in southern CA now.
Lately I have been using dish detergent with lemi shine to clean the cases really well. Then I'll dump the water and refill using car wash/wax for a few minutes to see if it reduces the tarnishing. Time will tell if I see any difference.
I reloaded 9mm even before the pandemic because I enjoy reloading. It's slow going on a single stage but I don't mind at this point. It's been nice to not have to worry about going out and buying factory ammo to practice with.
I found 1k of Win SRP last month at Cabela's randomly and couldn't believe it. There were about another 1k of loose primers left on the shelf but I left them for the next person.
Just loaded up the last of my 500 Remington 6 1/2 SRP in 9mm. I haven't had any issues like light primer strikes or anything like that. The 6 1/2's are pretty useless unless relegated to small pistol duty.
Like everyone has mentioned I have no problems reloading my 9mm reloads. Shoot, reload, repeat until I either loose the brass or I start getting split cases.
I've been storing my primers in those cheap plastic ammo containers with a desiccant pack thrown in. They're not air tight but may not be the best option since they latch close.
I looked at the box for my Rock Chucker IV and it shows made in the USA. It's the newest version but I'm not sure how old it really is. Hopefully these new Rebel presses are being produced here.
The box that shows large rifle primers was posted by another user just referencing the similarities with my box. The primers I purchased are CCI 450 small rifle magnum primers. Thanks
