First time loading 45 ACP. What am I doing wrong?

I'm probably not going to have time to dig back into this for a few weeks again. I have loaded 9mm and 40 s&w before. And I have been able to get things to work just fine. When I get back to working with 45 ACP I will either reply here or make a new post. Thank you all for the help.

First time loading 45 ACP. What am I doing wrong?

After trying everything. I figured out the seating stems I have aren't long enough for the bullets I'm using to get the col needed.

First time loading 45 ACP. What am I doing wrong?

I have the wrong seating stem. That's the only logical explanation at this point. I have read the instructions on the RCBS manual. And tried the tips recommended here. Nothing worked. I realized I only have the Round nose and SWC seating stems.

First time loading 45 ACP. What am I doing wrong?

Thanks. Trying that. Next question. Are the cases the buckled trash or can they be salvaged somehow?

Design is more important that length alone.

    Weighing brass?

Some people I know swear that weight sorting is really important. I've never weighed my brass and I haven't run into any major problems.

What brand bullets on your bench

In reality I load 3 calibers. That's .223, 9mm, and .40 S&W. In theory I load a bunch more. I have everything I need to load another 4 pistol calibers and another 4 rifle calibers. I just don't have the time right now. I have Sierra, Berger, Hornandy, Everglades, Speer, and Nosler.

    Bullseye Pistol

I pulled the trigger and bought a match RIA. I'm mainly a rifle competitor. I don't want to break the bank on a 1911 in this side quest.

Is there an rcbs ammomaster users support group?

OP anything that makes you yearn for a Lee Pro 1000. Should not be on your loading bench. I haven't encountered anything worse than a Lee Pro 1000 in the reloading field.

I need to buy some 50 yard targets to get some practice in. For now shooting reduced targets at 25.

    RIA match 1911 and .40 cal 1911

I went to a .40 because I had a compact .40 glock that I didn't shoot much. But I like the caliber. I have ammo and reloading stuff for it so I wasn't planning on giving up on the caliber.

    RIA match 1911 and .40 cal 1911

Never thought about the .40 S&W profile in reference to the 1911 feed ramp. I pulled the trigger today on both so I will keep you guys posted.

    RIA match 1911 and .40 cal 1911

Looking to purchase a RIA Pro Ultra Match 1945 in .45 ACP. And a Rock Ultra in 40 S&W. Does anybody have any experiences with these? I intend on using the Pro Ultra Match for bullseye shooting and the Rock Ultra just for plinking.
