    That 881 was at a local pawn shop for about a year with a too high for me price. I finally told them I would love to buy it, but not at that price. I walked out with it for $200. I don't think it had ever been shot. The color wasn't even worn on the feed lips of the cartridge elevator.

    Marlin 882. Tube fed bolt action. Easy to carry in the woods with no box mag poking my hand and insanely accurate. A Lakefield mk ll resurrected from the dead.. and my old friend the Marlin model 60 I purchased new in 1984.

    One of the guns I will never part with! Bought one new in 1984 for less than $100. When my eyes were younger I could hit a spent 20ga casing just about as far as I could see it. Too many squirrels to count. It now has a 3-9x x 40 bushnell legend scope and a refinished stock.
