I use a G30 for my EDC. I find it light weight and easy to conceal. I use an AKJ Concealco holster and it holds it tight against you. It hasn't had any problems feeding and is easier to conceal than an XD 45 Compact.
Also look at the compact Glocks. I find the grip on the 19/23 and my 30 to feel much better than the grip on the 17/22/21. The compact grips don't curve out as much.
I have them on 2 of my carry pistols. I love them. Nice quick sight picture and you don't have to hunt for the front sight. As long as you realize that these aren't target sights you won't be disappointed. I have them on an XD45 Compact and a G30 and have no problems hitting qualification...
I have an XD45 Compact and a G30SF. I find that the XD trigger is a hair lighter in feel but has a lot of over travel after the trigger breaks. It also has a lot of take up and is a spongy feel. The Glock trigger is a hair heavier than the XD but with short take up and short over travel. I...
I wouldn't buy one. The trigger on the one I was issued was ok. I greatly dislike pistols with slide mounted safeties and mag disconnects. I had the extractor break on mine a t t he range. At the academy my friends 4506 broke and he had to use mine to finish. If you're just using it for a...
I'm up to 250 through the G30 and 550 through the 45C and both have been extremely reliable. I see the link didn't post so I'll put it in again for those that are interested for an IWB holster. It's www.greatholsters.com
I posted this on a couple of other forums. An unloaded G30 is 5 ounces lighter than an unloaded XD45 Compact. I can feel a difference after wearing it all day.

I've held a couple and I didn't like it. The slide serrations are cut the wrong way.You get a better grip on the slide if you were trying to pull the slide off of the frame. They are too slick when pulling rearward when chambering a round. I'll stick with my Gen 3 frames.
Sigs are now made in New Hampshire. While they might not be American companies but at least they are providing skilled American jobs. Certain H&Ks are now made here to.
The XD has land and groove rifling and the 45 ACP Glocks have octagonal rifling. If you do reload and use lead you can get a land and groove rifled barrel from Lone Wolf for the Glocks. I don't reload yet but when I do I plan on using FMJs so the barrel isn't much of an issue for me.
I have an XD45 Compact and a G30SF. I have to say that I like both but they each have their pros and cons. For instance many people have had to get new springs for their XD mags. I haven't but the Glock mags seem to be more durable.
The slide is easier to cycle by hand on the Glock than on the...
Sorry but I had to vote no. I used to use a 4506 at work and it was spotty at best. We were qualifying and a coworker had to use mine because his broke. On my own time I was shooting regular factory ammo and the extractor broke.
I dislike safeties on the slide, especially when doing...
I say go with the G30. I'm a skinny guy and I can conceal it very easily with an IWB holster from www.greatholsters.com I like how it holds 10+1 and can use the G21 13 round mags for reloads. In this day and age there is an increased risk of multiple attackers. The less you have to fumble...
