I LOVE Sell’s books!
I would have loved to have been taught to hunt by him for certain.
The Robert’s book looks interesting as well. Thank you for sharing.
Im going to try his regimen this off season.
I always try to shoot off a rest when possible, but sometimes you need to be able to shoot...
Mines a couple years old and work just fine.
Ive put a swamp fox sentinel on it, cowitnessed them as best as I could, and it hit everything I shot at yesterday at the range.
Great story!
I had a similar experience one year, but the six didn’t come as close as your deer did.
He came to about twenty yards, and we just stared at each other for a few minutes until he got bored and wandered off.
that was opening day and I let him pass. I didnt end up getting a deer that...
Exactly!
what kind of society do we live in when criminals have more rights than the victims?
How sad is it that a person defending themselves (and quite possibly their families) have to worry first about being prosecuted for self defense when the perpetrator enters the person’s house illegally...
I voted 1+3-5 extra as that is my experience to date.
After reading through this, I’m rethinking my vote, especially since I reside in NewYorkistan where you are only allow ten rounds per mag.
After reading LiveLife’s posts in this thread you really get an idea how quickly Sh*t can hit the fan...

relatively inexpensive

That’s good news!
I'm planning on shooting the 130s out of my .308
Ive been shooting 150 gn. Accubonds with very good accuracy and results, but I am looking forward to seeing what I can come up with, with the Barnes.
My Brother In-law uses these with great results, and he really likes them.
I’m currently using Nosler Accubon handloads, also with great results.
However NY is probably going to force my hand on State lands (which I spend a lot of time on) soon, and possibly next season.
So I’m looking into...
I have four rifles.
My first is a Rem 700 chambered in 30-06 with a Leupold 3.5-10x40
My go to rifle and current favorite is my Tikka T3x compact in .308 Win. with a Vortex 1.75-5x32
The Tikka is the first one I would grab now.
It’s 6.5 lbs. unloaded, 39” long, and a pleasure to carry in the...
Well, in NY you have to have a background check, and you also have to pay a fee to buy ammunition.
