    Long Range Rifle/Scope/PRS question(s)

<2MOA yeah thats a great group :) ! I can also reach 2.2 MOA +/- 0.1 with a 308 but the load becomes way too hot, that it punctures primer 75% of the time. This load ( stern warning: not recommended, it is probably unsafe ) is 44.00 gr (c) of IMR 4064 + 185gr Berger + Small primer Lapua palma...

    Long Range Rifle/Scope/PRS question(s)

So, since I've no context; who makes the barrel pictured above? On that note, do you find peak accuracy after a period of fouling at all before your reach 500 shots? I clean to bare steel sometimes and usually took at least 1 match (+/- 75 rounds) for my groups to settle to a steady .3 MOA...

Thank you! I've warmed up to slanted serration now, but did take a long time. Now anyone who wants to sell their remington-rand, pls pm me :)

    A question for 1911 shooters

This reminded me of this so much :D But! I know airgunners are also this much of a stickler with keeping their gear pristine, therefore almost all of the high end used ones in existence are mint clean.

    Long Range Rifle/Scope/PRS question(s)

This year seems like a good time to slowly build a new 6mm :) (as opposed to depleting my primers in 1-2 years going to matches monthly before supplies normalize). Have never considered 6 GT - my mind is still in the 6x47 in trying to tune for both 600 & 1000 yards. FWIW our match director out...

Wow! Ya''ll shooting 115 dtacs? tubb makes it work man - what a mad scientist. at least once in his lifetime; tubb should manufacture the "1 gun" that fits ONLY 1 particular caliber, cartridge, load, and bullet he chooses OR designed - - taking account all he knows and what he really wants to...

    Long Range Rifle/Scope/PRS question(s)

Just want to share this book by Nancy Tompkins (Lapua sponsored, National level long range shooter) here -- http://rifleshootingbynancy.com/index.html Another important information to meditate after a shooting match is usually less about the rifle nor the hand load. It's usually "Why did I...

What is the most recent knife you bought?

Pardon the ninjas, but mine are also useful to harvest christmas tree, gardening, digging out rocks, and general cutting boxes and occasional steak and paninis when camping. They are Eickhorn-Solingen KM2000 (newer version) and the 'ol Glock knife. Despite the price difference, both hold up...

    SA Mil Spec 1911

+Ditto on 16 lbs spring for 1911. The only instance I installed an 18lbs spring was when firing .45 super out of an HK USP. But when firing 45 ACP rounds, the slide motion/timing was so abrupt that it reduces reliability. For the first and only time, my HK USP stovepiped, then FTFeed. Now it...

    SA Mil Spec 1911

There are many like it, but this one is mine :) I love the classic GI look; so least external modification beyond the flat mainspring housing. But it does wear a match trigger pull set from Cylinder and Slide, a Nat'l Match bushing, and 16 lb. ISMI springs and solid plug. And of course, a...
