Delta Stryker comes with a mil reticle and I frequently see it described as 'the best lpvo under 1k'. No experience.
Swampfox has nice mil reticles and generally very bright, wide fov optics with the tradeoff being a very tight eyebox ime
I keep your advice in my head, I think it was until you’re ready to spent $600 get a Harris, but I do wonder why not the Atlas Cal bipods
Edit: Didn’t realize this thread is over a year old! Sorry, still have the same question though
Haven't tried either but the only two options I'm aware of close to that weight range and budget are the Vortex Viper Gen 1 2-10 which they don't make anymore and the Primary Arms GLX 2.5-10 with the Griffin reticle. The latter seems really popular.
Athlon Helos 2-12 is also popular at 25oz...
I went with Beyer Barrels - Home. Mostly because I liked talking with the owner Clint when I called in and it was easy to select exactly what I wanted. But they do make a very light 10/22 aluminum barrel that may or may not be tougher than other aluminum barrels - different internet reviewers...
Advantage of wadcutter and semi-wadcutter is that the mechanics of the bullet are not entirely based upon speed - they'll cut a nice hole. Whereas hollowpoints make a bigger hole if they expand but a smaller one if they don't and the majority of hollowpoints don't expand reliably out of 2"...
Pursuing small groups casually, not competition I understand a bolt is better for that, I'd like an automatic rimfire for flexibility in application but groupings will be the main one.
Sounds like a custom 10/22 is not only likely to be more accurate but an easier platform to build on. If they...
What should I expect in accuracy difference between a 10/22 say with an aftermarket barrel (nothing too fancy, say a whistlepig), and a dedicated AR-22 upper like CMMG's resolute? Has anyone compared setups like these?
Gotta report after soaking my suppressor in CLP and scrubbing it for hours to about 98% clean, I tried the Silaramic treatment. After a little less than 100 rounds I took it apart wiped it all clean with a few napkins and reassembled, probably 30 minutes. Beautiful. I wonder how many rounds you...
Switching to the grip on the left made a big difference for me. Might only work with smaller revolvers but I feel like the gun is locked into place when I pull the long trigger

Sorry but if you’re surrounded by six attackers in what scenario are you getting multiple shots off at each of them with your semi? Are you barricaded in somewhere?
Honestly some of the advice in this thread has got to be detrimental to people who read this crap and think I’ve got to have a...
History is always a story. Wikipedia or modern Ed somehow made us forget this basic truth. Someone is always telling a story, culling events and factors irrelevant to their story and including the events and factors they find relevant.
That's really surprising, what makes sense of that? I remember a conversation here about how it's "glock leg" not "revolver leg" but this says the opposite doesn't it?
I'll try and find the source, read somewhere that the French hostage rescue force that used Manurhin revolvers used them in part because there's a mindset change even in trained users when ammo is restricted. I agree that's a very speculative "advantage" of revolvers but the question would be...
