Got a rifle buck in central Wisconsin/Waushara 10 minutes to dark last night. Always fun dressing and dragging it out in pitch black.

I had some 452AA left over from trapshooting days of about same vintage, 1980ish. Great for light loads in 38 special. Use it for 148 gr wadcutters. Others here are more knowledgeable than me I’m sure.

A 1950s Win M70 that my dad passed down to me. My Marlin XL7 with leupold scope in 270 is a close second.

I like to shoot and hunt too much for weather to be an issue. Worst weather is wind. Deer can’t hear, smell, and everything is moving…except the spooky deer. And how can you hold a sight picture when you’re moving in the wind? But what else is more enjoyable?
