870 Wingmaster as a combat shotgun

Got the 18.5" barrel, it's even threaded for chokes. I gotta do something with the stock, it's too pretty and way too long to maneuver, thinking M16A3 style pistol grip and 6 position stock with recoil pad.

Fenix Ammunition 9mm Ammo Drop Tomorrow

PLUS additional raping in shipping costs, they can have one or the other, but not both. Gotta draw a line somewhere.

    Cool Find: 32/40 Cartridge

I have a 32-40 manufactured in 1905, you can buy ammo or form the cases yourself, I use smokeless powder.

Guns you own but don't like.

I had one of those, (chicom 9mmTokarev style), believe it was a model 213 or something like that, only had it long enough to find a buyer after I fired it once. I'm not a fan of my Mosin Nagant 91/38s or the SVT-40, just can pull the trigger on selling.

    Sold some surplus ammo

I am unwilling to sell any of my ammo as I don't know when or if I'll ever to be able to replace it. However, I do have a mint CZ50 (not refurbished), and about 1k rounds of ammo I would sell as it's the only thing I have in .32acp and don't plan on ever shooting it.

How does one 'forget' about ammo ?

I frequently "find" ammo/reloading stuff I didn't know I had. Most recently 2 cases of PMC 5.56 and 2 cases of Danish SS109, I was a happy camper!

What ammo are you finding and for how much?

The Korean surplus can still be had at pre panic prices. I bought a can of 1000 something back then, and thought it over priced, but it does come in bandoliers on stripper clips.

What ammo are you finding and for how much?

Doesn't seem to be a shortage of ammo or reloading supplies in Northern Utah, but you're going to pay a butt load of money for nearly everything. Fair prices are to be had, but they are rare.

    High Road Ethics Question

The only "dog" I owned was an 870 Super Magnum Express, couldn't get it to reliably eject even after a trip to the gunsmith, I gave it away with full disclosure to a family member. I have purchased several firearms from people who sometimes were honest, sometimes not about function and...

Pump Shotguns Capable of Slam Firing

I had a 16 gauge Ithica Featherweight model 37 that would slam fire just like the old model 97 trench sweepers of WWI. Didn't do it on purpose, and it happened as I was shooting at a flock of birds.. Never had an issue with it, but I didn't make it a habit either.

    New Hakim

Just received an 8mm Hakim from RTI, I was pleasantly surprised at the condition of the stock and finish. Problem is the barrel looks like it was never cleaned after shooting corrosive ammo and it looks like a sewer pipe. The are places where the lands and grooves are visible and it appears to...

    .357mag 1873 carbine question.

I have Rossi in both .44 mag/.44 special and .357 mag/.38 special, love shooting both. Never thought there would be a safety issue in shooting the ammo they were designed for, am I missing something?

    45/70 ammo

What is the recommended chamber pressure for a trap door? Can't wrap my head around why a copper jacket, which is much softer than steel, is bad for the barrel of a trap door, can someone explain that?

Is it bad I want a M1 Garand in .308?

I had one in 7.62x51mm, loved it! Traded it about 10 years ago and have been kicking myself ever since, only paid $750 and it came with a butt load of enbloc clips, sling, WWII cartridge belt, and bayonet. Worst thing is I remember the rifle, but don't remember what I traded it for. :(

Any words for palmetto state armory?

I have always gotten exactly what I ordered from PSA, had a small part missing from a build kit and they sent it right out. They do take their sweet time in shipping your order.

870 Wingmaster as a combat shotgun

I have 2 Mossberg 590A1s all decked out in combat regalia, it's just that the action and reliability of an 870 Wingmaster is so much smoother and it never hesitates. I would like opinions on converting a Wingmaster into a combat shotgun, there are plenty of after market doo dads to accomplish...

    EDC for new female shooter

My wife is a 26 year navy vet with one tour in Iraq, she didn't care for the M9 as it was too big for her hands, so we experimented with various pistols and revolvers until she found what she liked. Didn't care for the P238, G43, G23, G17, or any revolvers. Settled on a Wesson Classic bobtail...

    One Caliber?

I want to pare down my carry pistols to a single caliber, between 9mm, .40S&W, and .45acp. Which do you think is the best single caliber and why? I'm leaning toward 9mm because of variety, price, and reliability.
