Something I ran up on while wandering the web a while back...according to their tests some springs definitely do get weaker when sitting compressed.

Without specifying the ammo being used there are too many variables here, the AR can use loads that penetrate a lot, and others that are made with considerably less in mind. I prefer the shotgun for various reasons in my circumstances but a 12 GA with buckshot will punch right though sheetrock...
I watched the video of Rittenhouse using the FA because one of his rounds didn't fully chamber.
During the Vietnam War estimates were put forth that for each enemy killed U.S. forces fired more than 50,000 rounds. So at least some of these guys were doing a good bit of shooting. I can...
I have a little astigmatism, I can see a little blurring if I concentrate on the dot but for just plinking out to 100 yards or so (for me) it goes away for the most part and the advantage in speed is simply amazing. Just put the dot on it and pull the trigger.
FN won the contract for production of the M16A2 in 1988, and their production kicked off in 1990. Their bid for each weapon produced was publicized at $420 per unit, which significantly underbid Colt. https://www.nytimes.com/1988/10/03/nyregion/army-drops-colt-as-m16-rifle-maker.html

The defense responds. Shame this guy didn't have the good video Rittenhouse did, the defense claims there is eyewitness testimony that Foster did point the firearm at Perry.
My GP100 came with those rubber grips, they were OK but I much prefer the Altamonts, which are actually pretty similar to your grips, they just have checkering on the wood.
I have the Altamont grips on my GP100, I just picked it up and compared it to my M10, there's really not a lot of difference in the distance from the middle of the trigger bow to the spot where the web of your hand would be. I was very surprised to see that. The grips on the 10 are flush with...
The robber's gun was extended towards the customer sitting by the door. I can guess the plan of action for the DA in Houston but if I wound up on the jury (impossible, I know, but theoretically) guy would have one "Not Guilty" vote in the bag already. There is a case in Monroe LA that happened a...
I don't see it as living in fear, but as being prepared for an event that could possibly happen...in the same way that I have insurance for various possible events.
I agree with the sentiment that the 1911 is not a beginner's gun in the sense that people who have never or rarely shot a handgun might have a problem with the recoil and the noise. I was with a young guy a few weeks ago when he shot one for the first time, he said he was a little shocked at how...
