    Mo CCW and coverups

outdoorman, Makes me wonder too. If he were to rule that the lawsuit had no basis, could it be to our advantage if he were to do so at the very last minute? I read that no matter the ruling, the losing side intended to file an appeal. If the judge rules the suit is without merit, will the...

Yeah, they could hand out those little cheese and salami samples at the grocery store! Might involve some advanced training, though.

outdoorman63, I think that is a VERY good idea. Unfortunate, but you never know when you're going to have to "educate" an overzealous cop.

    Weird night last night

A Taurus 85, a CZ 75B, and a 1911 all stuck in your belt. Since you also were probably holding your SKS with both hands, how did you keep yer pants up with all those handguns stuck in yer waistband? :D :p :neener:

Disappointed in some MO residents and CCW

Harold, I believe I am correct in saying that the Missouri concealed carry law DOES NOT require one to have a permit to carry concealed in a vehicle. The permit is only required to carry concealed upon your person.

Can I CCW a pistol that is registered to my wife?

CasualShooter, O.K. now I get it, thank you. I was not aware of the statute concerning the loaning or borrowing a gun without the obtaining the proper permit. Stupid law. I can understand the requirement in the case of selling or buying, but to loan or borrow? That's just ridiculous!

My county sheriff is an O.K. guy!

Considering the previous POS sheriff we had, who went on record as saying that in his opinion, "Private folks don't have no need to be totin' around no guns", Sheriff Matlock is a breath of fresh air and a sensible no-nonsense lawman. He made it clear during his election campaign that he was a...

Can I CCW a pistol that is registered to my wife?

I think we may be missing the point of my original post that started this thread. The gun WAS legally acquired. I was with my wife at the sheriff's office when she applied for the permit to purchase. I was with her when she picked up her approved permit to purshase. I was with her at the...

Can I CCW a pistol that is registered to my wife?

Perhaps "registered" was not the correct term. I was referring to the fact that to purchase the handgun, my wife had to go to the county sheriff and apply for a permit to purchase. At that time, there was up to a 7 day waiting period to run a background check on her. When she came back clear...

Can I CCW a pistol that is registered to my wife?

With all the unaswered questions regarding the new Missouri CCW law, I thought I would ask another. I plan to get a CCW permit when all the questions are answered, but the handgun that I would prefer to sometimes carry is a Taurus 605 that was purchased by and registered to my wife with whom...
