    Hammer type bullet pullers?

I have used a hammer type bullet puller for many years ... used to be sold by RCBS and might still be, but you can get one from the manufacturer: "Magnum Model" Kinetic Bullet Puller; Quinetics Corp; PO Box 29007; San Antonio, Tx 78229. I've pulled over 15,000 rounds of military 38, 45 auto...

    Manual

I wish that I still had my first reloading manual ... a Lyman from about 1968. Have you looked at the Lee Manual ... Lee keeps it constantly updated with new info from the powder manufacturers and prints regular up dates. It is reasonably priced and does a great job of introducing the...

is there a difference in Uniques?

It's been my understanding that Alliant bought-out Hercules. Since Unique has been a leading powder for over 100 years, I would think it foolish to change the product. I have used both Alliant and Hercules Unique and see little difference ... I did see a difference, but it was slight ...

Pro: consistency ... every 38 or 357 round will have the same seating depth and crimp Pro: time saved when changing calibers Con: additional cost in dies, but that's just a one-time charge and you're going to pass these dies down to your kids or grandkids

I agree with all 4 answers above and strongly suggest that you join a cast bullet forum castboolits.gunloads.com . This is the most intensely focuse form I've found that addresses EVERY aspect of bullet casting. As far as fluxing goes, I quit doing it. For a long time I just put a 1/4"...

    Handloading for Lead - Details?

Suggest you call Ruger and review the throat and bore dimensions. I think a .410 throat is squeezing your lead bullet and making it a LOT smaller than bore diameter and now that skinny bullet can't make a proper gas seal as it rattles down the bore. If your measurements are correct, ask for...

    Resizing 7.62 x 51 brass

You might try resizing with an RCBS ULTRA small base resizing die ... I bought mine in about 1980 and think that RCBS probably still makes'em.

    Press recommendations??

Lots of good options out there but my vote is for a basic Dillion 550C ... it'll moer than meet current needs and budget, and can be upgraded with additional whistles and bells later on. Dillion has a no BS guarantee ... just call or email with the broken part number and they'll ship a new one...
