    Who dislikes/hates the Beretta 92FS/M9?

I bought a 92 off an old man at a gun show a few years ago. It fit my hand well, but I honestly couldn't hit the ground with it if I dropped it. I can usually shoot fairly well, but could not hit anything with that gun. I also had it's little brother the model 84, and again, I could not hit...

    Starling Shooting

Growing up at the grandparent's farmhouse, I was awakened every morning by the sound of a shotgun blast outside my bedroom window. My grandpa had lots of trouble with starlings building nests in the eaves of the old farmhouse, and he was always worried about fires. He made it a point to shoot...

    We all have favorites

My favorite all time revolver is the black Raging Bull .454 with 8 3/8" barrel I sold a few years back. Shown here with my wife shooting it. I have since replaced it with a stainless version, but I feel the solid black was so much better looking. I haven't seen a solid black one since.

What gunsmithing or repairs have you done today

A while back I picked up a Savage 1907 from a yard sale. Whoever the previous owner was thought that it needed to be spray painted silver. On top of that, the grips were smooth, brown, and shiny. I reblued the gun a while back, and ordered a set of Indian head grip panels for it, but never...

    Unwelcome visitor

For the first 11 years of my life I grew up in southern California in the desert, and my parents would let me go flip rocks and catch whatever I wanted and bring it home, and to this day I can't believe they never once said to watch out for rattlesnakes. I used to catch lizards everyday and...

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Got my new to me Model 10 some new grips. After a little cleaning, this turned out pretty good. Love the look now. Before After....

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I also picked up a couple once in a lifetime guns yesterday. They technically belong to my dad, but he told me to keep them at my house and tell everybody they are mine (doesn't want my mom to know about them) and said they will probably wind up being mine anyway, so I'm going to claim them...

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

Finally got a chance to take a picture of my newly acquired Super Blackhawk in in .44 with 10.5" Barrel and Burris scope. And then made my first online purchase and picked up this LEO trade in Model 10. The grips are worse than a Nerf gun so I have some nice wood ones on order. The gun shows...

Have you purchased anything gun related in the last three days?

I decided to take apart my Stevens 520 to see why it was having cycling problems. Found the slide lock release spring was broken, so I ordered a new one. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

    Gun boxes

I keep all the boxes/cases no matter what gun it is. I have about 30 in my attic right now. I've even bought a few gun boxes at yard sales for guns I don't even own.

    NEF Pardner 12ga

I have 3 but never actually shoot them. The first one was my wife's first gun, a 20 gauge, the second one was a 12 gauge 3 1/2" with the worst camo pattern I have ever seen that was her worthless stepdad's, and the third was a practically new 12 gauge that I bought for $50 at a yard sale. I...

    Which one??

I have a Wrangler and a Rough Rider. The Rough Rider, although supposed to be a really good shooter, feels one step above a cap gun to me. The hammer is notchy and feels like a toy. The Wrangler feels alot like my Single Ten in many ways, and doesn't feel like a toy at all. I can't speak of...

    Your 'Rodney Dangerfield' guns.

I've had 2 different PK380's. Sold the first one when I was hard up for money, and when I got back into buying them, picked up a second one. They just fit my hand really well. I also was messing around one day and was able to shoot a balloon with mine at 100 yards. I'd say it was pretty...

No more gun shows for me

"Ruined" as in that is the only thing I ever see people selling at gun shows. Any maybe you are right about prices, but I didn't see a lot of people buying mostly browsing.

Registering a Taurus handgun after 30 days of purchase

I've had the exact same experience. I bought a Raging Bull used. I had one before and loved it but sold it when I was hard up for money. I had been looking for one for a while when I found it. The guy selling it seemed like a decent guy. Brought it home, loaded it, and click....try again...

No more gun shows for me

Honestly, AR-15s ruined gun shows. Nobody is walking around selling anymore, where you would get the best deals, usually people are only interested in buying from tables (dealers). If they are selling, it is typically their "built" AR-15 that they want way too much for. The Gun Collectors...
