Well, I tried them extensively and carried pistols with RDS for a while. I personally found them to be a distraction and I didn't feel they helped me much in the 5-10 yard range. But that's just me. But to say that people that don't like red dots on pistols haven't tried them enough "to...
I tried them and outfitted several pistols with them. I’ve since removed them all. I think, for me, in a SD scenario I’m plenty competent with iron sights.
I thoroughly enjoy cleaning my pistols after a trip to the range, and I go to the range a lot. For me, there is an appreciation of these wondrous mechanical devices I get from taking them apart and cleaning them.
I went to an LGS to look at HKs, thinking that a P30 might be in my future. Somehow, though, I came home with this beautiful M11-A1. I'll have to wait until Saturday to get it to the range.
I can give a big thumbs up for the Patriot with a wooden stock and Vortex scope. I found one at the local sporting goods store for $550. Well worth it.
Can't see how it's "unethical" for a shop not to quote a price when it's not asked for. When I got my first 1911 and somehow reassembled it incorrectly and got the slide stuck. I couldn't for the life of me get it to move. Took it up to the LGS and showed it to the gunsmith. He said "just a...
I have the Rock Island GI 1911 and the Commander size "ultra" 1911. Love them both. The GI model has the standard 1911 iron sights, but the CS Ultra Tac has a fiber optic front sight which is way better. I think they're good pistols for the money.
I carry a Springfield XDS mod 2 in .45 ACP. It's a single stack so it's super thin, which is why I chose it-- for the concealability. It's got a 3.3 inch barrel and it's a .45 so it's pretty darn snappy. It's not a gun I want to go to the range with and shoot 100 rounds, but it is a gun that has...
Been hankerin' for a .40 so I pulled the trigger so to speak on a Glock 23 gen 5. It's a sweet shooter.
