You did great. Most gun show “deals” I have seen were double the regular cost, not half. Granted, I have not been to one in years as a result. I have shot the bobwhite and it is a good gun.
I reload several different calibers, but mostly 44 so that is primarily what I shoot. That being said, that didn’t hold me back from building a 5.7x28 pistol, which I absolutely love. I won’t reload for it and I really dislike paying for the ammo but I love to shoot it. I have a few other guns...
My cz swamp magnum is pretty barrel heavy because the geniuses there decided to have a hollow synthetic butt stock…. But at least they are one of the few double barrels that come with sling studs.
Love my Winkler but still use the Esee more and yes, James Gibson did design that Esee PR4 which is why the scales are essentially the same. I had actually forgotten that part until you bringing up his name jogged my memory.
