The only thing you would need a scope like that is for prarie dogs at 600yrds or so. If your range is out to 400yrds and your shooting say a groundhog, a 3-9pwr will work fine. A 10pwr will also do the trick. Many long range competitors actually use fixed 10 pwr scopes for 1000yrd shots. I...
