    Recently bought a Norinco EM 322, a 22lr hunting rifle this thing is awesome nearly as accurate as my anschutz 54 it loves Norma Tac 22 great for rabbits and possums.

    The other day I was checking my emergency gear, (live on the west coast south NZ!) As I was checking the smoke alarms the wife out of the blue asked me which rifle would I take if the SHTF, didn't need to think about it would be my lithgow No1 MK3 303.

    Do you deer hunt all day or mornings and evenings?

    I hunt the west coast (South island)NZ all year round from dawn to dusk its hard terrain, but game can be on the move any time so tread softly carry a big stick 338LM.

    Do you wear hearing protection when hunting?

    I use silicone plugs and as said insert them just before taking shot, I,m running a 338LM with a brake.

    I have a pair of binoculars 4x28 which a friend bought for me 30 plus years ago not top end but more than adequate, whenever I use them always reminds me of her and the good times we had, may she R.I.P .

    If I,m getting this right you are wanting a air pistol to practice with instead of firearm than may I suggest an old style webley air pistol these are great as trainers and if you can shoot accurately with one of these (slow barrel time, low fps velocity) then a firearm is going to be a piece...

    I live on the west coast of the south island NZ , the photo is from my driveway the little hills are my training grounds, life has been good for me some of the best hunting in the world literature on my doorstep all year round and free, mind you no semiautomatic fullbores!

    Swiss arms shr 970

    Anybody use a SHR 970 rifle, I'm running a 308 fluted barrel synthetic stock its my bush guns can put 3 rounds into a half inch group at a hundred metres ,just wondering peoples thoughts?

    Having worked deep underground coalmines as a mechanical fitter for 14yrs carrying a 50lb plus tool pack up and down 1in3 1in4 drifts, carrying a 75lb pack including rifle is a walk in the park!

    I,m getting ready for a alpine Thar hunt, this is my pride and joy custom built 6.5-284 it's good for 1000mts CB shots it's heavy coming in at just under 16lb but it's a joy to use.
