    Best wives

Mine is also a great one. Not only supports my gun hobby, she actively participates and can push towards a purchase when I’m on the fence. She can also spontaneously decide she wants something, and even when I say no, it happens anyway. That’s why there’s a .500 magnum in the safe, lol.

    9mm suggestions please

Sar K12 Sport is an excellent range toy. Another CZ clone, it has excellent ergos, a great trigger, is very accurate and good looking as well! If old school is your thing, a S&W 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen pistol can fill the slot very well. I have a 39-2 and a 5906, but are excellent for the range...

    Turkish Handgun?

I own a Sar K2-45 and a K12 Sport, both are excellent firearms. I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another Sar if the right one grabbed my eye.

    What happened here?

The Armaspec worked. Ejection at 3 for the vast majority of both 150 and those 168 Hornady’s. A few ejected a tad forward, but end result was a gun that worked and wasn’t hard on the shoulder. Next time out, might adjust the gas system down a click and see what happens.

    What's your favorite 1911?

Can’t pick just one…I like all of ‘em. The Emissary is the one I carry though, so I guess that’s the favorite.

    What happened here?

Armaspec AR-10 Sound Mitigation Buffer - Gen 3 has replaced the wrong buffer/spring. It has an effective weight of 4.7oz, and you can feel it when you pull the charging handle. Hopefully it will help resolve this issue.

    Recommendation for fixed stock

If I ever decide to go back to a collapsible stock, I might look into that. But for now, the RAPS stays.

    Recommendation for fixed stock

RAPS is in, and on. Along with a Gradus grip, the BA10 has a different look. And while I haven’t shot it yet, the initial impressions are good. The stock is rock solid, will no discernible movement, and very easy to adjust. The Gradus grip feels good, but small in the web of my hand. Feels...

    What happened here?

So it does have the wrong buffer. It currently has a standard carbine buffer for a ar15. It’s 3.25” and 3 oz. Spring is probably wrong as well, it’s 10”. The tube is 7”, so from what I gather, the buffer is supposed to be 2.5ish. I’ll get that addressed and then re-visit the Hornady. I’ll...

    Recommendation for fixed stock

So, the RAPS was bought. Will update when it gets here.

    Recommendation for fixed stock

This is what I’m thinking…it’s $50-$100 less and 10 oz lighter than the PRS. Has everything the PRS has except the PRS has m lok on the bag rider bottom, and the RAPS has a hidden picatinny rail there.

    Recommendation for fixed stock

Yep, mil spec tube, mil spec STR. My tubes all measure 1.125/.469 and my stocks all measure 1.156/.5. Unless they’re supposed to be tighter than that. .03/.04 isn’t a lot, but it’s enough to move some. I do appreciate the idea, as I honestly hadn’t given that a thought.

    What happened here?

Only bolt for the gun. Will try adjusting gas block next time out.

    What happened here?

This is Hornandy’s response, “I have reviewed our lab data and the ammunition is loaded to 59,000 psi for chamber pressure and SAAMI max for that cartridge is 62,000 psi so we are 3,000 psi under max allowable chamber pressure for the cartridge. From you pictures it appears you have timing...

    Recommendation for fixed stock

Anyone try the FAB Defense RAPS stock? I’m starting to lean towards it.

    Recommendation for fixed stock

Luth-AR were on the short list. My big concern was the fact they would also fit a commercial tube and that could produce some wobble. What do you think of the way cheap option, the MOE? Got an extra PRS/PRS Lite you wanna get rid of? (Lol, gotta ask)

    Recommendation for fixed stock

So, my BA10 has a Magpul STR adjustable stock, and even when “locked”, it moves some. I’m leaning towards the PRS Lite as a fixed stock option. I have a mil spec carbine tube. Any others l should look at? Budget is =< $150

    Black rifles are boring

That’s the truth! Head south, or east, out of Pueblo and you are definitely visible!

    Black rifles are boring

Looks good man! Dunno if I could ever do that to one. I grew up in Pueblo, looks like you’re not too far away from there.
