    The First Pistol you bought.

CZ 85 Combat Got a CZ 85 combat as my 1st handgun a couple years ago. I now have a Kimber 1911 and a Kahr MK9. I still shoot the CZ best.

.45 ACP 100 Round Bulk Packs @ Wally World

Well, I made it to the Sport's Authority today in Bowie, MD. They do have the 100 pack 9mm's in stock but no .40 S&W or .45 ACP. Also, their price for the 9mm seemed high...$11.49? Wally world I believe is about a $1 cheaper.

    Kahr T9; overlooked engineering masterpiece?

I am actually very interested in joining the P7 cult. Cash is not usually a huge issue but it is right now as I am unemployed. However, the big money deterent is the equally as expensive "gift" I get my wife everytime I buy a gun to justify "why I need another gun." As a result, I only have 3...

    Kahr PM9 - accuracy sucks?

If this is the 1st micro sized gun you have fired I would say it is in fact you the shooter. It took me a good 250 rnds before I got used to the DA pull and the short site radius on my MK9. Now approaching 1000 rnds, I really find I am much more accurate with it and feel like I have full...

.45 ACP 100 Round Bulk Packs @ Wally World

I have found the 100 pk 9mm at Sport's Authority as well. May be worth a look there for the .45 too. Nice to have a cheap local source for .45. Will have to check when I get a chance.

    RAP, heavy pistol. Some measurements.

The RAP 401 and the Kahr T9 are both 6.5" in LOA (K9 = 6".) The Height of the T9 is less than 1/2" than the K9 which most of which could be that extended mag pad on the K9. I couldn't find a spec on the height of the RAP 401 but the Kahr T9 = 4.95" and the K9 = 4.5" (not including mag pad of...

    RAP, heavy pistol. Some measurements.

I bet the dimensions of the R.A.P. are closer to the Kahr T9 than the K9. Might be a closer comparison.

    Kahr T9; overlooked engineering masterpiece?

I don't want you guys to get the wrong idea about this post. The comparison to the Sig P239 isn't really the jist of what I am saying. In fact, i'm still leaning towards the Sig P239 because of the interchangable barrels and the fact that I have a Kahr (MK9) but don't own a Sig yet. I don't...

    CZ75-B with Wolff Springs question

I think you mean the "recoil" spring not the mainspring. Anyway, the spring should settle in nicely after a short while. The slight amount of "bunching" shouldn't effect the operation and is normal for a new wolff recoil spring. I had a similar instance w/my CZ 85C and a wolff 14# spring.

    Kahr T9; overlooked engineering masterpiece?

In doing some research for compact (not subcompact) handguns, I had decided (for me) that the Sig P239 was the way to go. I am having trouble (mentally) with plastic guns. But after comparing some spec's to the Kahr T9, I can't help but be impressed with the Kahr. (i already own an...

    My nice shiny .45

Zeke, That's a very tastefully done "pimp" gun. You must have some 1st class Hoes!! :D Seriously, I think it's pretty darn cool.

    Mousegun ammo.... .32 vs. .380?

I own a Kahr MK9 which I love but find it a little too heavy for pocket carry in most pants. The size is acceptable but not ideal for pocket carry in that I would have to purchase pants and shorts around my gun. The Kahr PM9 is very nice because of the reduced weight but I really want...

    P9 vs P32

Keep in mind that this comparison show the Kahr P9 Covert and not the PM9. The PM9 and P9 covert share the same width and grip length but the PM9's barrel is smaller reducing the overall lenght of the gun.

An Outsider's Perspective on the 1911

The 1911 is a wonderful hand gun. Very modular for personalization (notice arched mainspring housing.) It is highly accurate with one of the best triggers in the biz.

What makers / models work well for concealed carry?

Lots to choose from HK USP9c Kahr T9, K9 or P9 (PM9 or MK9 if you want really small) Walther P99 Springfield XD9 Sig 229 or 239 Glock 19 or 26 (not my favorite, but very reliable) CZ PCR or P01 You may want to consider a comander sized 1911 in .45acp. Nice and thin and easy to...

What kind of modifications you guys have done to your favorite gun(S)?

On the 3 guns that I own, I modified each just a little: CZ 85 Combat: Hakan Grips, CZ Rubber grips (not in use now), Homemade Trigger job, Hex Grip Screws (Hogue Ruger MKII), Polished Feed ramp, Wolff 14# recoil spring, Wolff +10% Mag springs, 2 Vonfatman 15rnd mags. Kimber Stainless...

    Kimber factory mags suck!

I can testify that I have had problems with a Kimber stock mag that came with my new gun. It was the 7 rounder that comes with it. The mag NEVER was able to empty all of its rounds without a failure!! Kimber mailed me a replacement 8 rounder free of charge that has been trouble free. In...

    What's the most accurate service-grade 9mm semi-auto?

"Funny how nobody here said they took so-and-so guns and fired them all mounted to a bench vise to compare accuracy. Too much anecdotal evidence...." Assume all the guns were bench fired from a vise. Unless you had several examples of each gun tested from different manufacturing periods...

    When great companies get goofy!

Not that it's a bad gun but it could be viewed as goofy by some. When you think of CZ's do you really picture the CZ 100 first in your mind? Now I'm trying to get that ugly thing out of my mind...get out....Get Out......GET OUT!!! Ahhhh, much better now. :D
