    Do You Under-Load Your Magazines?

All of the engineering speak by 6 o'clock and davids is true. In addition (also being a mechanical engineer myself), the shear stresses, based on load force and spring size, created in the springs is calculated from the fully unloaded or longest length as well as at the point of fully loaded...

Funny experience at Big 5 today

I live in California and since I still live at home for some of the year (in college) I had to make up a housing lease with my Dad for them to copy so that I fulfilled the two proofs of residency at the same address when I purchased my handgun. Hows that for good safe California Law...

    M&P Freebies

Give it a shot but don't get your hopes up. I bought mine in the no promo months (I misread the dates and thought i was ok) and saw that I was out of the range before I sent off the promo. I put a little line in there about being out of the promotion but still trying. Got a response about 3...

    Got my first handgun

Well Monday I purchased my first handgun, a S&W M&P9, now I have to wait ten days (thanks California). I had a few questions. Is there a certain way to break in a brand new hand gun other than just cleaning it and then shooting it? Also, what is a good way to store this gun? I will need...

    First handgun

So have been looking to get my first handgun. After shooting some and reading as much as I can hear I have come down to my decision between an XD9 4" and an MP9 standard. I went to my local gun shop here in Southern California (Turners) to check out the prices. The XD was $520 for the package...

    So Cal Gun Shops

Well it sounds that Turners has better prices than I thought, they just lacked many actual guns in stock/on display. I never really compared their handgun prices to anything b/c, well, I didn't have anything to compare to. Thanks for all your input. Count: I am in Long Beach. Ripcurl...

    So Cal Gun Shops

So I am planning on getting a handgun soon and while I can find shops here in Southern California that sell long guns I am having a hard time finding places that sell handguns. I know of Turners but they really don't have a huge selection and they are pretty expensive. Anyone know of/can...

I just purchaced a decelerator pre fit rcoil pad for my 870 express wood stock. and was wondering a few things. I was wondering what you all did to install your pad in the right spot and have it stay well. To me it seems that the original holes are just right and that drilling them a little...

    Mossberg 500 Vs. Remington 870

i have an 870 and a guy i know has a 500. In my opinion i like the 870 much better but thats just personal feel. It feels stronger, a little heavier and seems simpler in design. Both good guns, i just prefer the Remington.
