Where do you sell reloading components/tools that you no longer use?

I don't think it's just gun forums. I've moderated a couple forums in the past, and all of them had post limit restrictions to access classifieds. The drawback comes in the form of some that are just trying to get access and start spamming a bunch of comments all over. That was especially...

    Annealing

I went with the Ugly Annealer. At the time I bought it, it seemed like everything else out there had plastic feed wheels, and a lot of complaints of melting wheels from people annealing shorter cases like 300 Blackout. I do think the Annealeez and maybe the Burstfire have moved to metal wheels...

    Primer package sizes

I have a brick of Alcan Max-Fire LRP that is roughly about half the size of a CCI brick.

Lyman "Quick Slick"... save your money

The only things I've used are Imperial and 10:1 isopropyl alcohol and lanolin mix. I haven't had a stuck case using either one. I typically run the brass in my ultrasonic and then tumble in walnut with Flitz afterward to get as much of the lube off and out of the cases before I prime them.

    New rifle load .223

I can see where he's coming from on the liability thing. He just doesn't want to take any chances. We live in a litigious society now, and it seems like someone can take someone else to court for just about anything. Both the press and the scale are ridiculously impressive. The scale's...

    New rifle load .223

I was sure I had seen them advertised as a +/- set somewhere. I must have been mistaken. One of my customers has a ton of metalworking tools and also shoots competitively. He was telling me he took .003 off one of his shell holders to get the headspace he was looking for, but would not do the...

    New rifle load .223

You could give the Redding Competition shellholder set a try. One of them should allow that extra little bit of sizing you're looking for.

Need Help with 40 SW load

I checked out my log book, and it looks like I load at 4.9 grains, but I also use small rifle primers in that load. I don't think I've used any primers but small rifle in most of my pistol loads, aside from .357 magnum, where I use small pistol magnum. I also use small pistol in .380, but only...

Need Help with 40 SW load

When it comes to plinking rounds, HP-38/W231 has become my absolute favorite powder. Without checking my log book, I'm pretty sure I load 180 grain Berrys FP at around 4.9 or 5.0 grains, which amounts to around 1,400 rounds per pound. Between that and the versatility, it's a hard powder to beat...

New Hodgdon load data website, do you like it!?

One thing I used to do was choose a round, add a bullet weight, then select the powders that I have in hand to compare velocities and pressures. Now it looks like I only have the option to select one powder. I'm not a fan of having to move back and forth too much to compare loads. But at the...

    Anyone painted their reloading bench?

Mine is stained except for the bench top and hutch. Everything except the hutch also has a polyurethane clear over it. The legs are all 4x4, and some of the rest of the framing is 2x4. I think I did 72"x32" for the bench top, and it pretty much always feels like I still don't have enough room.

    Which checker?

Lyman also has minimum gauges as well. I have a couple of them for a couple rounds I load. I also have a Wilson headspace gauge, which will take a case that has been shot before resizing. They all have different gauges for different purposes. The key is making sure you have the right one for...

Data for 300 Blackout with 165 grain Interlock and N110?

I'll have to get GRT and see what it comes up with. That's one I've never tried out.

A quick and easy poll for you reloaders…

I've always pronounced it like this: IMR4227.

Data for 300 Blackout with 165 grain Interlock and N110?

It looks like that thread only has a couple of links, the Sierra one went to a 404, and the Palmetto one just went to PSA with no load data.

Data for 300 Blackout with 165 grain Interlock and N110?

I'm looking for data for the round in question, but Hornady 10th and 11th edition both seem a bit light on the powder maxing out at 13.1 grains, while the only other data source I've seen is from Speer for the Hot-Cor 165 which has a starting load of 13.8. VV seems to only have N120 listed for a...

    This made me go..........Hmmmm...

More compact than a Labradar, and it appears that it can measure rounds that I've been told LR can't, I'm definitely interested. I still have my Pact Model 1 XP, but who doesn't like new shiny toys?

    New Primer Company, Again.

Are those medium primers for S&B brass in rounds that would take large rifle? Or possibly those .223/5.56 pieces that would have just a few more loadings left if only you could get a primer to seat without falling out?

Sooo...one night late at the reloading bench

I had been given some 7.62x54R brass a while back, and was decapping them with the RCBS heavy duty decapping die. Hit one that felt a little different than the others I had just done. It turns out I got lucky with that one and punched right through the bottom of a berdan case. About all it did...

    Bent Bolt for Mosin?

This one does require welding, but I have it on mine, and it is about as good as it gets. It's designed to work with their scope mounts, which are about the most solid I've seen. They also have one with the ball at the end like the original bolt handle, or a threaded one where the handle can be...
