I've won a few trophies so I can shoot passably.
The other day I was PRIMARILY checking "function" but still aiming at paper.
The small distraction of ...slightly... being aware of the functioning seemed to ...help
My groups actually diminished. Like maybe I had been...
Okay, the Ruger in this thread:
http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=355482
now has the Volquartsen extractor. HOORAY!
AND it extracts.
BUT it rides over the next round in the mag ..unless... 3 rounds are gone. In which case it works fine.
I took EVERYTHING to the range. I...
If you sawed (well...turned) the barrel to 4" and did NOT put it back in the rifle stock but modified the rifle stock to be a pistol stock, would it be legal?
Thinking Ruger 10-22 here.
It's usually the 2nd, 3rd, or 4th round. With either mag.
It fails to eject the spent round and turns it sideways on top of the new round and jams on it. Only way to clear is to fumble the mag out (it's the old style with heel release) and then pull out the empty and if the live one is...
By that, I mean if someone were carrying a concealed weapon and were injured, would a prosecution for carrying hold? Would an arrest even be made?
Scenario: Someone is injured while carrying without CCW. The gun falls out on the gurney. No "reasonable suspicion." No opportunity to...
Mine does. It's Mk4B. I passed a used Volquartsen at a gun shop cuz the thing LOOKED shot out, but now that I look in my NEW one, it's the same.
Do all ruger autos have extremely shallow rifling?
Be honest. The 1911 supergun that will be used for tin cans but the fantasy is Camp Perry. The .500 S&W for the tiger you will never see. The Luger to carry into North Africa with Rommel. The SAA that you will plink with but the fantasy is wild west.
?????????????
Nothing wrong with...
A tiger mauled a keeper on Friday at the SF zoo. Makes me wonder what I would do if I were there with my CCW gun.
Real poser. San Francisco..... a rare TIGER...... someone's life in jeopardy ...
pipsqueak load (but probably diversionary)
Whaddya think?

says the guns come from Syria and Iran. So who is supplying the Syrian and Iranian dealers?
FIRST TIME!!!! She is 11. I set up a sandstone rock for a target an the darn kid kept hitting it. So I set up a .38 special case....and....well.... da pitcher sorta speaks fer itself.
THIS kid is gonna get into a junior marksmanship program. I was stunned. Very focused and the gun did not fit...
I think I'd be for it. From the candidates we've had for the past several elections, none would be much of a loss. And it might start some good legislation FOR guns as practice would be needed even at the highest levels of government.
:D
I'd like to find a holster, preferably Cordura, for one of the MkII Ruger .22 pistols. Really nice would be a vertical carry shoulder for woods walking. The pistol is rather heavy for a belt holster. The 4" bbl needs a fairly shallow holster as that stubby barrel is really short.
Nothing...
