Jury Acquits Marine In Crowd Shooting

Illiteracy should be a crime in Massachusetts. Good fo da Marine! Good fo da jury!

Georgia's 'shoot first' law, others take effect this weekend

Hmmm. Guess that means a loss of business for a certain "expert", who makes a living giving lectures about how everybody who shoots in self-defense gets sued. Hmmmmm. Not one case in Georgia, so far, huh? That's refreshing!

Update: (To my thread entitled "Very Angry")

Reading the law about general restrictions regarding shooting around residences may or may not apply to your situation. If all you've done is get a map that shows that it's public land, that still might not mean that it's o.k. for you to target shoot on that public land. If you have free...

xd triggers what the big deal?

XDkingslayer: Have you ever fired a Glock? Just curious, as there is no "heavier initial trigger pull." :) The first pull is exactly the same as the second and last pulls. Double-action pistols, however, offer a long, heavy first pull. Glocks aren't double-action pistols. Anybody can...

Sounds like it's about time for another "fundraiser" over there. :)

12 dead, 14 arrested in huge shoot-out in South Africa

A piece of bullet jacket would be properly described as "shrapnel."

    Front sight fix

I recently staked a front sight on my 1911. I degreased everything and used 640 Loctite (sleeve retainer) in the hole, on the tenon, and on the base of the sight. Did whoever staked your sight use Loctite? Could be that some wicking Loctite could be used and the sight restaked.

    Neck sizer problems

I agree with Uncle Don. I've loaded a bunch of .243 and .223, using the Lee collet dies. Never had the cap pop off. Something's definitely not set up right for that to happen. I get superb accuracy with the Lee collet dies

    New Glock-29

Denfoote: Are you ABSOLUTELY sure that your G36 has been your "constant companion" for every minute? Didn't have any problems that had to be resolved? :)

How far can a sniper hit a rocket on ground?

Surely, some of these responses are meant to be jokes?? Surely nobody here really believes that a Navy boat is going to shoot down a missile with bullets of any kind? Cruise missile is the logical choice. Why have deniability? Just tell Kim that we blew up his rocket. What's he going to...

bad idea to post list of personal arsenal ???

I consider the listing of one's firearms in a sig line right up there with decorated gold front teeth and spinner wheels.

    KENNESAW, GEORGIA Firearms Required

"who conscientiously oppose maintaining firearms as a result of beliefs...." Anybody NOT understand that clause? The ordinance isn't enforced, because it was written so it would never have to be enforced. Of course, it's symbolic. My use of the term "Democrat" was a euphemism, the...

What's the commotion about North Korea?

Either Nick's writing tongue-in-cheek, or his view and understanding of the Real World are severely lacking and immature. I don't think we should invade N. Korea; taking their missile out with a cruise missile seems like a pretty good plan to me. Others have posted the adult-thinking answers...

    Glock 17 Stainless Guide Rod

I use a guide rod of similar design, but different manufacturer in my G17. Yep, the washer goes on the muzzle end and is retained by the screw. Might want to use a little blue Loctite on that screw.

    10mm

Seems to me that, considering the USUAL platforms for delivery of both, comparing 10mm to .357 is an illogical exercise in futile silliness. :)

Do you think 320 is a good price for a Rock Island 1911?

I'd opine that 99% of pistol accidents happen when the grip is being gripped. Grip safeties are nothing more than placebos for the unwashed masses.

GAINING GROUND - UN GUN BAN POLL

What's the point in voting? The UN has absolutely no significance, relative to domestic U.S. laws. I wouldn't give legitimacy to them by participating in the poll.

    Trijicon AR-15 Night Sights

I bought a set of Trijicons for my AR when I first bought it. Probably haven't fired 50 rounds through it, using iron sights since. Can't imagine that I'd ever need the AR for s.d. purposes. Wish I hadn't wasted the money. As was stated by Kor, the rear dots are worthless.
