Talk to me about Star BMs

It's a heavy all-steel rugged pistol that is very comfortable to shoot. That is a good price. A little internet research shows that parts are available, and not as hard to find as comments would suggest. Just don't dry fire it and you will probably never need replacement parts.

I guess my pet peeve would be gun shop clerks who sweat the difference between "clips" and "magazines".

You are wrong. Check the owner's manual. You can dry fire it all day.

    1911 .45

He will buy more guns in his lifetime. Let him buy his own Kimber or whatever. Speaking of Kimber, I hear it said on the forums that Kimber makes a nice gun but has poor customer service. I am sure Colt has a customer service department too, but I wouldn't know. I've had two Colt's 1911s for...

Nine rounds of .380 vs five rounds of .38

I have both a .380 Colt Gov't model (8 rounds), and a S&W model 36 (5 rounds). I made the decision on which one I could shoot better on the first shot. If it happens, it will go down at close range. Once you fire a shot at someone, they're not going to hang around like a range silhouette to...

Carrying concealed at a gun show

Concealed means concealed I see these signs at gun shows. Just keep it concealed and don't make an issue of it and no one will know.

Is this a viable way to aim a handgun?

It's a movie thing to show the actor and the gun It isn't a "shooting position" at all. The only reason he is holding the gun that way is because the director told him to, so the gun and the actor are in the same frame, and at a dramatic angle. The director called for it. It is called "scene...

    new BB .25acp ammo?

I doubt you're going to "hot rod" anything with a case capacity of about one grain of any kind of powder. Most max loads for .25 ACP are what? Maybe 1.1 grains?

I can't think of a good reason why to, but then again I can't think of a reason why not. Not particularly advantageous, but I can't see a problem with it.

    Tyler T grips....back in business

Got mine yesterday Tyler T-Grips are back. I had written off the order I made back in January. It came yesterday. I am so happy for the company and the product. Sometimes bad things happen to good people, whatever might have happened in the past. I am making another order.

Pick me a gun for this role.

I don't believe you can do that with any repeatability...300 yards with a 45 acp carbine? I doubt it. You might have hit one can once. Good for you.
