    Venison Hot Dogs???

Anyone have a recipe for making venison hot dogs? I'm going to try making some from a modified recipe for regular hot dogs but thought someone here may have perfected something already. Thanks in advance,

Best deer point of aim. Where do you aim?

Take the scapula shot to drop a deer in its tracks. Large area to hit and a well documented success rate. http://www.scilowcountry.org/cedar_knoll_deer_study.htm Study conducted by Charles Ruth of the SCDNR at the Cedar Knoll Hunt club in the SC LoCountry SHOT PLACMENT Researchers used...

    Deer using turkeys as lookouts?

Deer will use the warnings of turkeys, squirrels, blue jays and crows to keep themselves from getting taken out by a hunter or any other predator. That is why you have to keep quiet and still while hunting deer. There a lots of critters out there that just love to give you away.

    S&W 642 developed rust

Better to not store it in the holster and keep holsters out of the safe. The holster will retain some moisture/sweat and increase your chances to have rust form. It's a good practice to let the holster air out when you are not wearing them. Put it on an open shelf overnight.

    Aguila ammo

I use their .32 and .380 with no problems. If these rounds are an indication of their quality control I would buy the .223 with no hesitation.

Own any guns that have "a history"?

I've got an old Nazi Mauser HSc .32 cal that I have often wondered about. Did it contribute to one of the worlds worst atrocities?

    hunter safety license

Sometimes it can be waived if you are military/LEO or were born prior to a specified date (grandfather clause). Otherwise you may be stuck taking it. Take someone along with you and the suffering isn't so bad.

    ethical groundhog hunting

I grew up hunting them in NY and my primary weapon was a .22 rifle. They are fairly smart and hunting them taught me to stalk, be patient and then take a clean head shot. Also hunted them with a bow. Tried a .308 one time and it was too easy. I liked the hunt much more than the kill.

    Ruger GP100 Scope Mounts?

As far as the no-tap version is concerned, I thought that if I wanted to go back to iron sights there would be no holes in the top of the gun. On the other hand the tapped vesion does look more compact and neat. Tough decision.

    Ruger GP100 Scope Mounts?

Any tips on what to try and what to avoid? I've seen two options: 1. Drill and tap to mount a receiver.(jack wiegland mount) 2. A no-gunsmithing required option that uses front sight groove and rear sight screw to attach.(B-Square Base Ruger GP100 Silver ) I kind of like the...
