Open land to shoot on near Vancouver, WA...help?

Out Hwy 14, just immediately past the Bridge of the Gods is a public outdoor range sponsored by Skamania County. (Go East on 14 and take the first left after you pass Bridge of the Gods. Follow the signs). Two shooting alleys, probably about 25-50 yards deep. maybe more. Free!

Should I say anything about an exposed concealed weapon in public?

The way I read the OP, the poster was asking if anyone would have told the (assumed) LEO. I think that is miles apart from "reporting" or "tattling". Personally, I would have found a discreet way to let him know, in a nonconfrontational manner, as others have posted.

Does Anyone Pay Attention to "KEEP OUT" Signs Anymore?

The problem is that people just don't pay any attention to ANY signs any more. Like that sign on the side of the road that says "Speed Limit 25". Or the one that says "No Left Turn". So, then, is it any wonder, "Keep Out", and "No Trespassing" get the same attention? I get really...

Update: 2007 Summer National THR Get Together At The NRA Whittington Center (NM)

It's my birthday weekend. I'm rather new here, but would like to go. I guess I can fork over money to join NRA too.

California does it again: passed the ammo bill.

Okay, am I the only one that thinks these chiefs are the definition of "desk jockies"? I'm not from California, but do they require registration? Gee, do criminals register their guns? What happens whan an "illegal" gun is used? They'll have what they have now... bupkis. What if they...

What would you improve about your state's CCW law?

I don't so much mind a reasonable fee for permit processing. As long as that fee goes to the work done to issue the permit, as opposed to going into a state's General Fund or other bureaucratic money pit. However, I feel that it would be much better if permits just weren't required at all.

What music do gun owners like?

a little of everything. Primarily 80's stuff. Some "modern" stuff. I have classical, rock, metal, easy listening, rap, country, show tunes, etc. in my iPod. Currently cycling through the songs that VH1 included in their "80's A-Z" special a few months ago.

Why do anti-gunners think they speak for me?

Erebus, (and all the rest of you), Thanks for verbalizing something that makes a lot of sense in a world that makes none. I hadn't ever thought about gun ownership in the context of what "feels good" but you are absolutely right. And to the younger members... keep on shooting, and get...

    Reality of security cameras?

Where I work, we have around 200 different CCTV that we monitor routinely. This includes cameras in elevators and other places that the "general public" is supposed to stay out of/away from. Does it discourage property crimes? Well, when they steal the cameras, so that they can vandalize...

    Portland Area Ranges & Gunshops

I've usually gone out to BLM land for outdoor shooting, although there are several outdoor ranges in the area also. I did become a member at the PSTC. Lane fee is $15. (On fridays, you can take two boxes of cereal and pay only $5). If you go as a guest, the lane fee is $9. I usually...
