Based on my experience with the .38 Special 158 grain LSWC loads using 4756 in Speer #8, I would start 20% below the minimum load and work carefully up. I started 10% below the listed minimum and never made it to the minimum load below I got pierced and flattened primers. I would suggest...
My 2 cents is that you give the barrel a good cleaning to remove as much copper fouling as you can to reduce leading. Any copper residue will contribute to leading.
I've shot two ladder test for my CZ 527 in .223 at 100 yards. Both times I was able to identify the "sweet spots". But, take your time and allow time for the barrel to cool. Make sure you fire some fouling rounds first before you start the ladder. As a previous poster said, make sure you're...
I prefer plain base since I don't have to wipe off the little bit of lube that gathers in the bevel when I run them through the sizer. I think most commercial casters make them because it's faster on their machines.
I've ordered 9mm in both 125gr and 147gr, .45 in 215gr and 250gr, and .45 ACP in 200gr SWC. All have been extremely accurate in my normal 750-950 fps range. I've been extremely pleased with his bullets. He tumbles them with Alox so that's why they're sticky. They may not be as pretty as the...

So let me make sure I understand this. I use a normal charge of powder, then fill the case with COW, and seat the bullet as I normally do. What I want is a compressed load, correct?
I have an opportunity to buy a Sig P225 (not one of the P6 police trade-ins) with a set of Trijicon night sights and 2 magazines. Gun dates to 1987. Seems in very good shape, though there's some wear on the sharp edges of the slide and some holster wear. I've field stripped it and the rails...
I tried 4.3 grains of AA#5 and a 124 grain hard cast bullet in my T-series BHP. Shoots great but won't work the slide, even when I use a 10 lb recoil spring. Another favorite is 3.3 grains of Bullseye. That works well in my Pre-B CZ-75.
I stumbled across this at another board, but thought I'd pass it along. No connection, just wanted to pass on a great deal to those who shoot cast bullets.
By far Robert's the least expensive I've found lately and his bullets are great. Fast (like same day as ordered) flat rate shipping...
