I have a few in this caliber. I would have to say the P229 is my favorite followed by, since you say no Glocks, The Sig 2340/2022, The M&P and M&P compact. If you want to know whats available for ammo see HERE for a good thread!

Go here and scroll about halfway down. You will see a list of just about every load in 357 sig including SD loads. There are several good options!!

M&P.... Ruger doesn't make a 357sig. I liked the old P series though...

Amen brother!! I have a P229 in .357 sig with almost 5,000 rounds thru it and only one failure to feed. I have had numerous failures to fire.... but then, I have shot 60+ different factory loads ( or factory reloads ) through it - and most of you wouldn't recognize the names of the brands...

I have two Taurus 669's - zero problems. And I have a 851 ( concealed hammer version of 85 ) - WOW! Great double and single action trigger pull, accurate and reliable!!
