S.&W. .38 CTGE Cylinder and Cart. Release Broken?

Recently found an old S.W. .38 CTGE while helping a friend clean, needless to say the owner has passed away, and now we are left with the pistol. Upon inspection the side of the barrel read "38 S.&W. CTGE" The top of the barrel says "Harrington & Richardson Arms Co. Worcester. Mass. U.S.A."...

    Brass Caps Vs. Plastic Caps

I haven't actually fired it yet and my brother is pretty sure it has never been fired but the only thing that happens when you fire the toy caps is a small piece of the plastic gets lodged into the nipple but it only takes a little poke to get it out...I guess regular caps would be worth it. :o

    Brass Caps Vs. Plastic Caps

I got a replica muzzleloader rifle for X-mas and I am too cheap to buy the caps so I was just wondering what all of you thought of the little toy gun caps. They are a little small and split a little bit on the edge when I put them on but other wise are fine. Do you thing they are more corrosive...

    Leaving them loaded

Honestly I think there is nothing wrong with leaving guns loaded but the problem is the safety hazzard they posses. If you have children who are too young to know any better they might, not purposly, fire the gun harming themselves or loved ones. :( If the gun it clean and dry powder will...
