    Non-toxic ammo recommendations for turkey.

That last post was funny. I live in OK & I was drawn for a bonus hunt for turkey but the area has wetlands so they require the non-toxic shot. I tried out the Hevi-Shot 13 in size 6 and it patterns just fine so will be using it for this special bonus hunt.

    Non-toxic ammo recommendations for turkey.

Just got back from the sporting goods store with 2 boxes of Hevi shot 13 in size 6. I'll try them out this Saturday and see how the Mossberg 835 likes them. Thanks again everyone.

    Non-toxic ammo recommendations for turkey.

I'll give Hevi-Shot a try since I can't shoot steel through my tight choke. Thanks everyone.

    Non-toxic ammo recommendations for turkey.

If you use non-toxic shotgun ammo for turkey, what do you use or recommend? I'll be using a 12 gauge, Mossberg 835 with a Jellyhead choke on it and I've only shot lead shot in it. Thanks for recommendations I can try and see how it will pattern.

    Fav 30-30 recipies

First some background on the day that I found & shot my favorite load for my 30-30 Handi Rifle. I had just replaced my stock with a synthetic so I loaded up several loads to try out. What was is that the first shot at 25 yardsd was dead center. I proceeded to shoot 28 rounds (now I have a...

    Ghillie suit

I still have mine in my 4Runner, ready for the next hunt. It sure gives me confidence when I'm expecting close encounters with the wild kind. I carry mine because it hangs up on everything I try to walk past. It also is very warm which helps. If you get it you won't regret it.

My ccw ammo am I missing anything

Sounds like good advice. How can one find out what they use use? What if they carry a caliber different than yours?

How effective has 9mm FMJ proven to be in self defense?

I eagerly await this discussion, I've got popcorn and beer.rab Power of suggestion worked on me. I had to go pop the corn and grab a cold one before I could read any further. We pray that we never have to pull our pistol but if we do we bet our life we can stop the threat. At that time we...

Buffalo Hunting - lots of questions

Bullet placement is everything. My cow fell to a .50 Cal from my Savage ML which went through sent the bullet through her brain. The range was close, about 75 yards so not difficult at all. The bullet hole is just below the horn & to the right.

Should I sell my dad's Dillon Square deal?

My dad left me several guns which I'll pass on to my heirs so there isn't any emotional value to the press. My dies are all set up for my .45acp. 7mm Rem. Mag. & & several rifle calibers and I really don't shoot the other pistols (other than the 9mm) calibers enough to reload them. Guess I could...

Should I sell my dad's Dillon Square deal?

I don't have as much room as I really need to keep it setup as the table with my 650B bolted to it is already mess from me setting bags of brass, tools, holsters, targets etc. I will get that mess cleaned up this weekend as I will have the house to myself. Any idea how to determine what the...

Should I sell my dad's Dillon Square deal?

He passed away 4 years ago and I've got his Dillon Square deal which I've never used. I can only find one die set for it and have no idea what it is for. I believe it still has the owners manual and it is all set up on a plywood board which can be clamped or bolted to a table. Anyway I...

    45-70 Gov't.

That 45-70 will cleanly harvest anything you shoot with it as long as you put the bullet where it should. I've only shot one which was when I sighted in a Marlin 1895 for a co-worker and that rifle could sure shoot. I remember all 3 rounds were touching and 2 of the three were almost in the same...

    +P or not +P

Well my Walther PPS is loaded with Corbon 115Gr +P JHP bullets and the first round is the most important and I want to reach the CNS with it. Sure I also want to be ready to dump two more follow ups into the threat if it didn't stop it right there. I also keep my Glock 30 loaded with +P bullets...

Anyone use the LaserLyte Pistol Laser Trainer?

I read the reviews in the link you posted and it looks like a great training aid. I may hold out for a while as there seems to be a need to add an on and off switch.
